Damien's POV Knowing he was Alpha blood did make me feel slightly better. But the jab about me not deserving my title still hit a nerve. Who was he to question me? I was the rightful heir to my pack, I earned my position. He was probably just bitter that birth order had robbed him of his own chance. I smirked and motioned for Trey to move the vehicle. We weren’t going anywhere, we would just move it back once their guest was inside. I made sure Trey understood not to pull into the designated parking pad outside the gate. Instead, he shifted the car slightly into the grass to clear the path for their incoming vehicles. I wasn’t about to let them think they had gotten the better of us. I didn’t care how strong their pack was. Mine was large, too and I wasn’t afraid to go to war to get Maya back. “Damien, you’re wasting your time,” Ashton said as he approached the gate, his voice low and even. “There’s nothing for you here. No matter what lies you’ve spread, they won’t be leaving with you
