Now that things had developed to this point, did he really think he deserved another chance?
"Let go!" I snapped harshly, tugging hard on my suitcase.
Nonetheless, Zachary held on tightly. When he spotted the coldness and determination in my eyes, he abruptly let go in shock.
Having regained my freedom, I didn't hesitate to turn and leave.
"Tia…" he called out in a choked voice.
I paused in my tracks briefly, then continued forward without looking back.
The night was dark and silent as I stood alone by the roadside. My romantic relationship had ended messily, but I didn't want myself to turn into a mess, so I kept my calm.
A car slowly drove over before coming to a stop beside me. Upon seeing the man stepping out of the car, I was stunned.
Finnegan Quent was Zachary's best friend, and he used to be mine as well. To be more accurate, the three of us had grown up together and used to be inseparable friends.
