Alysia's POV
I stirred slowly, as a small groan slid past my lips. With my eyes still pressed shut, I turned to the other side. I didn't want to wake up yet, and I knew no one would barge in here to wake me up, not unless I wanted to. I had just barely stirred again when something caught my attention.
It wasn't a sound or something else, but my nose picked up in an instant. The scent was sweet, but it didn't belong to any wolf. It didn't even feel like it belonged to a human. I took one large whiff and what the scent was hit me like a freight train.
Food. I was smelling the aroma of food.
I sat up straight, while I ignored the pain that spread through my back. I didn't have any memory of doing anything strenuous last night, so it definitely had to be my sleeping position.
