The white BMW suddenly died on her, and no matter how many times Elaria tried, it just wouldn't start. Panic settled in fast.
After a moment, she opened the door and got out into the snowstorm. The icy wind slapped her in the face, snowflakes snuck into her collar, numbing her limbs. Within minutes, she was shivering uncontrollably.
Worst part? The car broke down, and her phone was dead too.
The blizzard just kept raging.
Elaria sat in the car for a bit, quiet. A few snowflakes clung to her lashes, refusing to melt. It was freezing outside, but there was still no sign of Sebastian.
After a short pause, she gritted her teeth and pushed the door open again, stepping straight into the storm.
Snow whipped at her face, cold and sharp-it stung, just like the night she was kicked in the stomach. That night, when they had nothing left and Sebastian had held her close, whispering-
