CHAPTER 429: EXPOSING THE TRAITOR
Lauretta's eyes scanned the stack of financial records in her hands, her mind racing with major determination and a twinge of fear. Rebuilding everything they had lost wouldn't be easy, but she knew she had to do something; all hands were on deck except Brandon's.
The company was barely hanging on by a thread, and their father gradually lost his mind. She took a deep breath and sank deeper into the seat as she continued flipping through the files.
So far, she hadn't found anything useful yet, aside from the confirmation that Lillian hadn't acted alone. The encrypted documents she held hinted at a mysterious partner within the company. It seemed like a cliché, but there was a saboteur within, and that would explain how Lilian got ahold of very private and highly confidential information on the company.
"I don't even have a suspect," Lauretta mused aloud, her voice tinted with apprehension.
