"You look better today," Lauretta said with a warm, bright smile.
"Don't flatter me; I know I still look terrible." Lorenzo drawled, trying to adjust his arm cast comfortably.
"Well, not as much as you did the last time I was here," she replied, leaning closer to inspect the bandaged dressing on his face and head. "Can't wait to get those things off," he muttered, and she snorted before pulling back.
"Can't wait to start flaunting the infamous Garcia face, huh?"
He gave her a subtle smile before relaxing into the armchair with a heavy sigh.
"If and ISavannah and I were still together, she'd probably break up with me now."
He had said it casually and lightly, but Lauretta knew he wasn't joking.
