Chapter 937

"Get me Phoebe, or I'll kill her daughter!" Then Lyla's crying rang. Olivia's expression immediately changed. She handed Sam to Mrs. Simmons and pushed her way through the crowd. She got in to see Dorothy holding Lyla, a scalpel against Lyla's tender neck. Her pale skin was oozing hints of blood, looking shocking. "Dorothy, I'm here. Let go of my daughter!" Dorothy turned her head around to look over and sneered. "Phoebe, you've ruined everything for me. I won't make life easy for you now!" "Let go of my daughter!" "Let go? Why?" Dorothy stepped back and smiled grimacingly as she said, "I have nothing against you, but you've made me lose everything. You also want to accuse me of murder and send me to prison!" With that said, she grinned and laughed out loud. "Phoebe, the least I can do is kill your daughter before going to prison! Otherwise, I can't accept it!" "Do you know how hard I worked to get where I am? Then what?" Dorothy gritted her teeth. "As soon as you showed up with a face looking just like Olivia's, I started having bad luck. You kept stealing my things! You're just like that b*tch Olivia Larson. Why are you so obsessed with stealing from other people? You steal everything. You're a looter!" The more Dorothy spoke, the angrier she became. "Phoebe, you're a woman who loves to steal! I don't accept it! I, Dorothy Jameson, won't just admit defeat!" Olivia was not in the mood to listen to her complaints. She stared at the scalpel in Dorothy's hand, fearing something would happen to Lyla. However, the scalpel grazed Lyla's neck every time Dorothy spoke. Lyla was still crying at first. Maybe she understood what was going on after seeing Olivia, so she bit her lips and endured it, no matter how painful it was. Her actions made Olivia heartbroken. Finally, she could not help roaring, "Dorothy, what exactly do you want? I'll give you everything I can, but let my daughter go. She's only four years old. She's only a child!" The people around them also said, "Don't involve children in adults' arguments. It's too evil!" Dorothy's scarlet eyes swept the crowd fiercely. "Shut up! You lowlifes have no right to talk!" Fearing that Dorothy would get agitated and hurt Lyla again, Olivia motioned everyone to be quiet and said, "Dorothy, I will withdraw all the charges against you, but let my daughter go!" "Will you be willing to do that?" When Dorothy hesitated, Olivia dialed the number and said, "I'm calling the police right now. Let her go." "Hang up! Or I'll kill her right now!" Dorothy increased her force on the scalpel. "You want to call the police and have me arrested? Phoebe James, forget about lying to me!" Olivia threw the phone to the floor. "I threw away my phone. I'm not going to call. Don't be reckless." With that said, she took two steps toward Dorothy. "It's me you hate. Will you trade me for her? You will go to hell for killing a child. You will still be a lowlife, but you won't if you kill me." Dorothy was most afraid of being a so-called "lowlife", so Olivia's statement stunned her. Two figures suddenly ran out of the crowd. One held Lyla, while the other subdued Dorothy. "Let go of me! Phoebe James, I'm gonna kill you! I'm gonna kill you! I won't lose!" Dorothy screamed and struggled frantically. It was unknown what she had heard. Suddenly she was quiet as her muscles stiffened.
