Chapter 1068 Like a Young Noble of an Older Generation
It was then the man realized there was another person in the office. He turned around and exclaimed, "You… Aren't you wanted by the police?"
Xavia's face flashed with annoyance. She immediately put on a mask and shot a meaningful glance at the director.
Understanding the signal, the director glared at the man. "Out! You’re scaring our distinguished guest!"
"Okay... I've sent the photo to your phone," the man said and quickly left.
"There's 100 thousand dollars here. Arrange for the surgery by this month, and find me a room that’s absolutely secure," Xavia said as she pushed a card toward the director. She had taken great risks to come here, and any further delay would increase her chances of being exposed.
"No problem, but are you sure you want to look like the person in the photo?" The director pocketed the card and pointed at a photo for clarification.
Though the person in the photo was attractive, her style was completely different from Xavia’s. The woman in the picture appeared to be in her thirties, exuding a subtle air of elegance. She looked like a young noble of an older generation.
"Yes, I'm sure," Xavia said with a manic glint in her eyes.
Her pregnancy was reaching full term this week. After giving birth, she needed to change her identity or she would not be able to return to Docwood and survive. The child was her bargaining chip and her last hope.
"Okay, I'll make the arrangements. Wait here. I'll have someone take you to your room," the director said. She got up and left the office, but she did not take her phone with her.
Xavia glanced at the photo the man had sent to the director. She was petrified for a moment, then picked up the phone to examine the photo closely.
'It’s Chloe and Joe?!' Xavia's hair stood on end. 'Did they find out that I'm here? But that doesn't make sense. Ken promised he’d help me escape so that I can give birth to the baby safely. They shouldn’t know of my whereabouts. Did they just happen to pass by here?'
Xavia did not dare to let down her guard. She hastily put on her mask, sunglasses, and hat. However, her anxiety did not abate. With no other choice, she contacted Kenneth to find out what was going on.

Early the next morning, the family of three visited a local scenic spot. They enjoyed the activities there until the afternoon, and Jasper began to feel hungry. They picked out a restaurant and sat down to eat.
After finishing half his plate of pasta, Jasper wiped his mouth with a tissue in a refined manner and smiled at Chloe. "Mommy, I had a lot of fun today. Thank you for taking me out."
"That's great to take. We have several more days of fun ahead." Chloe patted his head.
Joseph raised an eyebrow and chimed in, "What about me? Aren’t you going to thank me? If I didn’t get injured, you wouldn’t have the chance to go on vacation with your mommy.”
Jasper snorted. "Even when you're not injured, you never took me out. You're always busy. It seems to me that your work is more important than spending time with me."
Joseph was speechless.
Chloe laughed and joined Jasper. "He’s right. You’ve neglected him."
Joseph looked at her with a serious expression and said, "That's because you were in my heart. I had no room for anything else."
Chloe was about to shush him when her phone rang. She checked and found that it was a call from Kenneth.
