Eric lost his composure, tearing apart the piece of paper in his hand. With bloodshot eyes, Eric turned to Adam and yelled angrily, "Gather the best medical team in the world. No matter what the price is, Ellie has to be saved!" After Adam left in a hurry, he slumped to the floor outside of the operating theater. His body was weak, and his hands and feet were cold. "She's my only family. She's the only one I have left…" Adam pulled his best and soon found the best cardiologist of the world. "Doctor, I'm begging you. Please save my sister." Eric's legs were numb, and he groveled at the cardiologist's feet, void of the arrogance he had in the past. Gripping the doctor's hand, he said in a trembling voice, "I'll give you anything as long as you can save her, including my life. Even my life is fine."
