Chapter 55 Infertility

Liora's POV Sarah pushed the door open and stepped into the ward. She moved carefully, but I still stirred from sleep. She looked worn out, yet somehow managed a smile for me. "How are you feeling, Liora? Hungry? I had someone make some oatmeal. It should be here any minute." I nodded, not asking what had happened. If she didn't mention it, that meant she didn't want me to know. "Thanks, Sarah. You've already done so much for me." Just then, the door opened again. Why was Ethan still here? The moment Sarah saw him, she tensed, defensive like a cat ready to strike. "Why are you still here?" Ethan looked just as rough. He shot her a warning glance, which she met with an equally sharp glare. Then he turned to me. "Lio, I'm sorry. An emergency came up. I had to get back to work. I'll take care of it quickly and be back as soon as I can." I clamped my mouth shut. I didn't want to speak to him, not even a single word. Sarah's smirk was mocking. "An emergency? Or did Olivia get her
