OLIVIA'S POV
The notification blinked on my screen—a message from Dominic.
I stared at it longer than I should have. My instinct was to ignore it, to pretend I hadn't seen it. But I couldn't—not this time.
"I was wondering if I could spend some time with the twins this weekend. Just a few hours. I promise I'll respect whatever boundaries you set. They deserve this. I want to be there—for them."
I sighed and set my phone down. My first reaction was a mix of skepticism and defensiveness. But as I looked across the room and saw Noah and Aria curled up on the couch with James, their laughter echoing off the walls, I softened.
They loved him. Despite everything, despite the heartbreak and broken promises, they were drawn to him like magnets. And as much as I wanted to protect them from getting hurt, I also didn't want to keep them from their father. He had missed out on enough already.
But I had conditions.
