Something shifted inside me recently—something I couldn’t explain, but it was there. I wasn’t sure if it was memories returning, or just fragments of feeling. But when I looked at Raymond, my heartbeat quickened, and I couldn’t deny the warmth that spread through my chest. I didn’t understand it, but I felt it—him—and the way I knew him without knowing why.
