Chapter 11 The Possibility of a Contract Renewal
Grant had completely lost it.
He refused to let me leave. He locked me inside the apartment, took my phone, cut off the internet, and even had the windows sealed shut.
"You want to leave? It won't be that easy."
He came back every day and hovered over me like a man possessed, observing me eat and watching me sleep.
"Aren't you good at acting?" he said with a sneer. "Then, keep acting!"
He grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him. "Act like you love me and can't live without me. If you do it well, I'll pay. How much do you want? 50 million? 100 million?"
I looked at the man in front of me. He was already losing his mind. All I felt was pity.
"Grant, what's the point of this?" I sighed. "Sylvia is back. Go find your first love. What's the point of torturing a substitute?"
"Shut up!" Grant exploded and overturned the table. "Don't mention her!"
