Chapter 410
Julia's and Charlotte's expressions changed drastically at Anna's words.
They, too, recalled what had happened. This had been Francis' directive—ordering Morgan to set up a live-streaming company to take Hayden down.
"Alright. Let's go back right now and keep a close eye on Morgan. If Morgan makes a move against Hayden, we'll warn him immediately!" Julia said urgently, her emotions running high.
She was eager to find any way to help Hayden, hoping to keep him from being sidelined in the business industry.
But then, Anna frowned, her hesitation evident as she asked, "If we protect Hayden like this, won't we be betraying the Sterling family? If Dad finds out, we'll definitely be punished!"
Clearly, this was a tough issue for her to resolve.
"Wasn't this your idea in the first place?" Julia shot her a confused look. "What's going on? Are you backing out now?"
"We have to do everything secretly. We can help, but no one can know it's us," Anna replied firmly.
She knew all too well that betraying the Sterling family while depending on them would spell disaster if anyone discovered the truth—particularly the Sterlings themselves. It would turn the family into a laughingstock.
"I understand. I'll handle it," Julia said, taking a deep breath and nodding solemnly.
They all understood the potential consequences. The only option now was to minimize the damage.
Charlotte took a deep breath and made the final decision. "Let's go. We need to find out what Morgan's company is planning next."
With that, they quickly split up, each heading off to take the following steps.
Little did they know that this decision would change everything for them.
…
Meanwhile, a lively figure appeared on the bustling street.
"Hmph! Since you won't take me out, I'll just go out and have fun on my own. Stupid Hayden! You big meanie! It's already so late, and you're still keeping me cooped up at home. I don't care. I'm sneaking out to have some fun. Let's see what you can do about it!"
Jenny giggled mischievously, her excitement almost bursting through. She was in the middle of her rebellious phase, and she was determined to do everything her family wouldn't let her do.
She kept looking around at the streets. Even though she had snuck out, she didn't dare stray too far and just stuck to the familiar areas. But the streets around her felt too familiar, and nothing exciting caught her eye.
"Maybe I should check out somewhere a bit further away," she muttered, her brows drawn tight.
The mere thought of it sent a thrill of excitement through her.
Without wasting another moment, she hopped onto a rental bike and pedaled toward the farther end of the city.
The bustling city streets filled her with joy as she went further into the city.
