Chapter 411
As Jenny wandered down the street, her attention was caught by a large crowd gathered ahead.
The entire street was buzzing with influencers who were live-streaming. Every few steps, there was another streamer, creating a densely packed scene.
The whole area felt almost blocked by the trend.
Curious, Jenny made her way closer to get a better look.
She'd seen these streamers before, but only on her phone. This was the first time she was witnessing it live, and she watched with growing interest as she blended into the crowd of onlookers.
The crowd around her was diverse. There were elderly men, stay-at-home moms, and students around her age.
Among them, an elderly man with cloudy eyes stood staring intently ahead at several women who were dressed provocatively and showcasing their figures for the cameras.
Their suggestive dances and flirty expressions made it clear that they were the stars of this scene. They thanked the "big spenders" who sent them virtual gifts, their demeanor sweet and charming while they exuded a cutesy appeal with every word and action.
"Oh my! What's going on with these young people? They're really pushing the limits, aren't they? It's crazy! When I was young, you had to pay to see something like this," the elderly man commented, shocked by what he was seeing.
His amazement wasn't due to naivety. He just couldn't understand the women's behavior.
Meanwhile, a group of stay-at-home moms had gathered together, discussing the situation seriously.
"Is this… really okay? How could they show themselves off like that and dance so seductively?"
"Oh, this is the trend now. It makes money fast! You wouldn't believe it, but some of them make tens of thousands of dollars a day!"
"Exactly! And that's just the average. For the big streamers, it's even more. That's why they're so dedicated to live-streaming. It's all about the money!"
"We shouldn't criticize them. Instead, we should be inspired. After all, they're earning money with their skills!"
These women were often stuck in the house, their time consumed by childcare, with little freedom. They felt like they didn't contribute much because they weren't earning money, and their attempts to make extra cash, like placing online orders, were often met with scams.
But now, watching these young women live streaming and earning tens of thousands of dollars in a day without any apparent effort, it seemed like a dream come true.
Most importantly, there were no risks involved. They all felt confident about their figures and thought earning as much as possible while they were still young was a great idea.
As they thought about it more, they became increasingly excited. Even the students nearby, like Jenny, couldn't help but get swept up in the conversation.
"I wonder if we could live stream while we're still in school…"
"We could just stream ourselves studying, right? Honestly, those streamers don't seem to have any special skills. They're just showing off."
"Exactly! We should give it a try. I heard joining a talent agency makes the money come in faster!"
"I also heard there's a new company in Stonybrook that's backing streamers. It's apparently supported by the Sterling family, a major name in the industry. Do you want to check it out?"
These young students immediately headed off with newfound determination.
The idea piqued Jenny's interest. She had been watching out of curiosity, but now she had learned some unexpected news.
A company backed by the Sterling family? That caught her attention.
She quickly stopped one of the students to ask more about it. It turned out the Sterling family had started a media company that was currently actively recruiting streamers.
Thinking about it, she realized it was probably connected to Morgan and Lily. After all, she had just seen them taking promotional photos recently. Everything seemed to fall into place.
But then, a thought crossed her mind.
Could it be that Morgan and Lily were targeting Hayden directly? Of all the industries to get into, why did they choose live-streaming?
