Watching her stare at him, eyes clouded with emotion, those dewy lashes and wet eyes always stirred up unsettling thoughts in him.
He wanted to break her, to make her cry and beg... just the thought made his whole body tense.
He reached out, clutching her chin firmly, his voice low and hoarse. "Don't look at me like that."
Sabrina bit her lip and turned her gaze away, her eyes drifting to his chest-covered in angry red marks. Those were from her fight earlier. Sure, he was violent and unpredictable, but she wasn't exactly innocent either.
They weren't husband and wife. More like sworn enemies.
But the moment she truly looked away, her gaze no longer reflecting him, Cassian's expression darkened. He grabbed her face and forced her to look at him, voice rough: "Eyes on me."
Her jaw ached from his grip, and she glared back, fuming. "Relax. I'll memorize your face well. Just wait. Sooner or later, I'm gonna pay you back."
