Chapter 927 The Final Battle On Pine River

If it wasn’t for Raiden Black and a few other unknown people helping Tyr behind the scenes, he could not have left the Summers family alive. Isaiah replied, “Both of you are still brothers related by blood. Nobody expected it to reach this impasse. I don’t know what happened between you two, so I will refrain from commenting. However, I trust you, my brother, that you have your reasons for what you are about to do.” “Thank you,” Tyr responded and then retreated into silence. As they drove toward Pine River, the sun began setting west, coloring the clouds in the sky bright red. The battle between Luc Mills and Tyr did not cause much excitement in the north, as both Kirin Summers and Six Doors refrained from releasing any related news. It was the reason why there weren’t any spectators. It was a battle of a personal feud and did not matter to the northern martial arts community. By the time Tyr and Isaiah arrived, Zillion, Chasing Wind, and the rest of Six Doors had Pine River and its perimeters blocked. Only persons involved were allowed to be there. Simultaneously, a few speedboats were busy making rounds on the other side of Pine River. With that, they managed to push some of the fishing boats further away and cleared out a significant space on the river. “Those speedboats are from the Summers family.” Chasing Wind pointed at the vessels and said, “There is another yacht behind. I bet Kirin Summers is in that one right now.” “Mhm!” Tyr nodded and said, “Seems like he can’t wait any longer. Well, I am running out of patience too.” Chasing Wind continued, “They probably have guns on them. I already have everyone on standby and received permission to use snipers. I want to make sure that the battle between you and Luc Mills is fair and square. If Kirin Summers thinks otherwise, we will respond immediately with force. “You are fighting Luc Mills on a fishing boat in the center of the river, Gate Master. Please be very careful!” “Don’t worry.” Tyr was very relaxed and wasn’t too worried about Kirin doing anything underhandedly. As of now, his bone marrow was the priority for Kirin; only then came his life. “The boat is ready, Gate Master,” said an associate who came over to remind Tyr. “Great.” Tyr nodded and turned to look at Isaiah. “Wait for me right here. I will avenge the last of the Yoder family.” Isaiah replied with a deep bow. Even though he was perturbed, he did not show it in case it distracted Tyr. Tyr took a big leap and landed on a little boat by the river, to the astonishment of all nearby onlookers. Six Doors had a speedboat prepared for Tyr, but instead, he chose a little wooden boat. A favorite of the locals here, they would ride on the boat and fish using cormorants on the river. There were an oar and a bamboo pole on the boat. A few birds could be seen hanging around the stern. When Tyr landed on the boat, the frightened birds immediately fled, flapping their wings as hard as possible. Tyr grabbed the bamboo pole and unwound the rope securing the boat to the shore. He pushed the pole down into the river bed, and the boat shot forward like an arrow. His displays of agility and strength greatly exceeded normal human limits and understandings. Chasing Wind, Zillion, and the rest were amazed by Tyr. Their impression of Tyr would be forcefully refreshed every time they saw his displays of strength. Even after witnessing Specter and Jumbo’s instant death by Tyr’s hands, they still felt there was more to Tyr than what met the eyes. A few hundred meters away, an iron boat sat alone at the center of the river. Even the water’s rough conditions, with waves crashing, could not disturb the boat as it floated down the river steadily. By the stern of the iron boat was a deck and was around a hundred square feet wide. Luc Mills had been waiting on the deck for a while. A small table was set up right in front of him, with a bottle of wine and some peanuts on top. The wine was already half-empty and the peanuts almost finished. The Golden Ring Knife rested next to him. Glittering faintly in the rays of the setting sun, it seemed to have a conscience of its own, wanting to stay right by Luc as they made the last journey. Luc had been drinking on the deck of the boat, oblivious to everything happening around him. Only when Tyr’s boat came speeding toward him did he lift his eyelids, like a master who could locate sounds. “He’s here.” Not too far away, the speedboats were slowing down their patrols and dropped anchor around the yacht. An expensive couch was placed on the yacht with Kirin, dressed in a bathrobe, lying lazily on it. Next to him sat a few pretty bikini-clad ladies, cutting fruits and serving wine. Even with summer approaching, it was still rather chilly with the river’s breeze and gentle winds. The ladies in bikinis shivered in the cold but dared not voice their complaints. They were afraid of Kirin’s unpredictable temperament. What if they accidentally offended him, and he decided to drown them in the river? Standing behind Kirin were Black Reaper and White Reaper. Around them stood members of Kirin Squad, who looked dashing in their full suits. “Master, Tyr Summers has arrived.” Seeing Tyr rowing his boat with a bamboo pole, Black Reaper and White Reaper felt nothing but disdain. “Is he mentally unsound? He looks just like a monkey performing tricks. Kirin Summers suddenly stood up and turned toward Black Reaper, and slapped him. Black Reaper looked at him in shock, confused at what he had just said. “He is my brother from a different mother but the same father, and you said he looks like a monkey?” Black Reaper’s expression changed abruptly and hurriedly apologized. He had no idea what Kirin was getting at. He could insult Tyr however much he wanted but did not allow others to do the same. Yet, it was fine some other times. This just went to show how puzzling Kirin’s thought process was.
