“Okay, you know what?” Cindy started, shouting over the loud music in the club.
“What?” I raised my brows at her, already anticipating some ridiculous suggestion.
“I think you should get drunk.” She pointed a finger at me, her cheeks slightly flushed from the alcohol. “You are about to be married in less than a week, and this should be your bridal party.”
Right, because that’s how it works before a big wedding. Except this wasn’t a normal wedding, and I wasn’t exactly the kind of bride who would throw a bachelorette party. I didn’t have a large circle of friends—just Cindy—and honestly, I didn’t mind it. It wasn’t like this marriage was real, anyway.
