Scarlett’s POV
I stood downstairs outside Katelyn’s newspaper office, hiding behind a car parked across the street, my eyes fixed on the tall glass window.
The light inside the room spilled out warmly onto the pavement, a cruel contrast to the cold curling in my chest.
