Chapter192 Unspoken Feelings
Katelyn’s POV
After making sure Ethan was safe and settled in bed, I took a deep breath. I checked my phone. There were missed calls and messages from work, but right now, I just wanted to be sure Ethan was okay.
I cleaned up the rest of the bathroom, wrung out my wet shirt, and finally sat down at the edge of Ethan’s bed, looking at him as he lay there, eyes half closed, still looking a little weak but alert.
My phone buzzed again. I glanced at the screen. It was Gray calling. I didn’t want to answer, but I felt it might be important. I picked it up. “Hello?”
Gray’s calm voice filled the room. “Katelyn, how are you? I wanted to check on the volleyball girls. Has the school or the TV station followed up with you? Is everyone safe?”
I glanced at Ethan as I spoke. “Thanks, Gray. Everything is fine for now. The girls are safe, and the coach is facing consequences. I’m just…dealing with a lot today.”
Gray’s tone softened. “Don’t let it all get to you. If you need help or someone to talk to
