Chapter 32 The Larsons Want to Marry Kaia Off

Kate's eyes were red with tears, but she nodded firmly, clearly relieved. "Alright. I'll go right away." Samuel turned and left without looking back. Kate was just about to leave with the insulated food container when she was stopped by Amethyst. "Kate, I'll come with you," she said, gently removing Wendy's hands from her waist. Wendy's eyes narrowed. The threat Samuel had just made was clearly directed at her. If she'd known he was watching from the second floor, she never would've snatched that collagen drink. What a shame—it totally backfired on her. Despite being annoyed, she put on a pitiful look. "Mom, I want to visit Kaia at the hospital with you." Amethyst hesitated but stood her ground. "Kaia has some misunderstandings about you. It's better if you stay home." With that, she and Kate left together. Once it was just Wendy and Benedict in the room, she could no longer keep up the act. She stomped her foot in frustration. "Ever since that bitch, Kaia, came back, Samuel's
