Chapter 33 What You Can Do

Amethyst looked at Kaia with hopeful eyes. "Kaia, if you have any requests, just say them. As long as it gets me your forgiveness, I'll do anything." She spoke with conviction, and her eyes were filled with determination. Anyone looking at her would've believed her without a trace of doubt. Kaia, however, didn't believe a single word Amethyst said. "Really?" she asked with an unreadable expression. Amethyst nodded eagerly. "Kaia, please trust me, okay? This time, I promise I won't let you down again." Kaia stared at her. A flicker of mockery flashed in her eyes. "Alright, then." Hearing her agree, Amethyst couldn't help but break into a smile. But the smile stiffened on her face the very next second. Kaia said, "As long as you kick Wendy out of the house and cut all ties with her, I'll forgive you." Amethyst's hand gripped the hem of her shirt tightly, her heart stuck in a deadlock. She looked at Kaia with pleading eyes, only to be met with an ice-cold gaze that showed no sign o
