When I was in high school, a distant cousin from the Affleck family got married. Although considered a distant cousin, she was far removed from the main family. Still, the connection carried enough prestige to draw society's elite to the wedding. Helen and I were among the guests. The bride was marrying a wealthy foreign businessman, though he was older, he certainly had the means. The wedding was held on a private island, and the groom covered all the guests' travel expenses.
