We had scaled the wall less than ten minutes ago. I had to admit, Tatiana was an exceptional tracker. Finding two vampires in a twenty-four hectare territory should have been nearly impossible, but she managed it. I knew she was right about the location the moment we reached the house.
It was brand new, tucked away in a remote corner of the pack. Clearly, Damien had instructed the patrols to leave them alone. He was reckless enough to risk his entire pack just to get to Maya, but I wasn’t about to let him take my mate.
They had actually built one for the vampires, and even added windows. I smirked. That detail alone told me this setup wasn’t meant to last. Damien hadn’t expected Maeve and Reina to be permanent residents here.
