Amelia Johnson said in a flat tone, "I’ve made myself perfectly clear."
Ethan Collins replied, "I'm sorry. I was wrong to not trust you."
"Relationships should be about feelings. I don’t even remember us holding hands. So really, what exactly are you holding on to?" Amelia was genuinely confused.
"It was my fault before, but we can fix things. We can try to connect—"
"There’s no fixing it," Amelia cut him off.
"What will it take for you to forgive me?" Ethan asked.
"Ethan, I’m not mad at you," Amelia said quietly. "So what’s there to forgive? There’s nothing between us anymore. So please, just stop bringing this up, alright?"
Ethan sounded frustrated now. "Amelia, do you have to be so stubborn? I’ve already apologized—can’t you just give a little?"
