Chapter 67
Liliana tried her best not to glance at the couple shamelessly flaunting their affection next to her. She craned her neck, scanning the distance.
Didn't Trisha say she went to get the car? Why is she taking forever?
Grabbing her phone, Liliana quickly typed out a message to Trisha—if she didn't show up soon to save her, she'd seriously be in trouble here.
Just as she was about to hit send, a text popped up.
"Lil, I can't drive you back today. My car broke down. I'm calling a tow truck now."
Liliana froze for a second, then sighed and quietly deleted the message she was about to send.
"No worries. You go sort your car first," she replied, even though she felt like crying inside.
Now what? Who was going to bail her out?
She put her phone away, mind racing on how to handle the situation.
And then—like fate heard her—she looked up and spotted Wilson's sleek Maybach pulling up.
His driver got out, all proper and polite, opening the door as Wilson stepped out in his usual calm, refined way.
