The moment Liliana saw Wilson, her smile brightened and her steps instantly got lighter.
Wilson noticed her and said, "You're still here."
"I was just waiting to head home with you," Liliana replied, her tone instantly softening. It was like she switched into a totally different person the second she faced him.
"Good timing, I just wrapped everything up. Let's go." Wilson's gaze flicked subtly to somewhere nearby.
Across the way stood Marsha and Ethan.
As soon as his eyes landed on Ethan, Wilson's whole vibe changed.
His stare tightened like a bowstring pulled to the limit, on the brink of snapping.
Liliana felt a chill run up her spine. She really should've ditched those two earlier and stopped Wilson from running into Ethan.
"He's here too?" Wilson's eyes narrowed, a hint of danger flashing in them.
His voice dropped, cold and sharp. He looked down, that low gaze making Liliana feel like she'd just stepped barefoot into a blizzard.
