Chapter 41

"I know you don't want to talk about it." Roman says, staring straight ahead. "But I am always ears when you are. Contrary to belief, I don't tell my brother everything. What you tell me in confidence will never leave my lips." I don't say anything in response, I stare straight too. His words swimming in my muddled thoughts. Sometimes I can't see how Roman and Danyal are brothers, sure they look alike, but on the inside they are two completely different people. Soon enough we're at the door to my room, Roman reaches forward and twists the knob. Guiding me to my bed, he helps me pull back the covers and I slip inside. I feel like a child as he tucks me in, a wicked blush would spread across my cheeks if I had the energy to do it. My eyelids are heavy and they burn with the need to close them. "Roman?" I mumble, "don't let him see me. I'm not ready to face him right now. I can't-" my voice cracks as the tears well up in my eyes.
