Rickard shook his head, and Hesper could only withdraw her gaze. She turned to look at the seemingly indifferent Pierette in front of her and clenched her fist. "Never mind, I should have expected this. Perhaps I was too impatient." Rickard had been holding Hesper's hand all along, and she smiled at him. "Let's put aside Pierette's matters for now. The people who ordered the medicine from us should've arrived now." Indeed, today was the scheduled time to deliver the medicine to various families. The previous night, they had prepared the medicines and sent them to the Savatiers' estate. Now, all they had to do was collect the payment. Thinking about the money they would soon receive, Hesper felt that the blows she suffered from Pierette earlier were instantly healed. The carefully prepared medicine had been placed inside the entrance, with some of the younger members of the Savatiers standing guard nearby, but there was no sign of the expected buyers. Indeed, something had gone awry. "Ms. Rivera, has the agreed-upon time not yet arrived?" one of the juniors from the Savatiers asked anxiously, aware that an unforeseen problem had arisen. All the buyers seemed to be absent for some unknown reason. If no one showed up to purchase the medicine, not only would their plans be in jeopardy, but the Savatiers and Rikihisas would have to shoulder the staggering costs incurred for the medicine. "Don't panic. I'll go and investigate what has happened," Hesper reassured them before setting off to find out the cause of the unexpected turn of events. As Hesper spoke, the young members of the Savatiers instantly calmed down. Recent events had made them realize that Hesper and Rickard were the backbone of the family. As long as Hesper said she could handle something, they believed she could indeed solve it. Hesper turned her head and said to Rickard, "The only person who would come out to disrupt us at this time is Ranfik. I knew he wouldn't take that defeat at the banquet lightly. He has been biding his time all this while so that he could strike when the opportunity is right and catch us off guard." It turned out that Ranfik had already prepared his move in secret.
