Chapter 127: If You Won't Do It, Get Lost
Katrina had a restless night, filled with a long dream.
She dreamed that Daniel married Luna, and she stood nearby, watching their wedding.
Everything felt so real.
Daniel was leading Luna to toast her, and Luna touched her slightly bulging belly, thanking her for letting Daniel go to her.
Daniel said Luna was pregnant with his child, so he toasted Katrina with water instead of wine.
Katrina woke up crying, opening her eyes to see Daniel's face right in front of her.
His arm was still around her waist.
Katrina sat up instantly, checking her clothes and feeling relieved to find them intact.
She didn't want to be the kind of woman who made a mess after drinking and ruined other people's relationships.
Feeling movement beside her, Daniel also woke up. He had slept lightly that night.
He had a dream too, where Katrina married someone else.
He tried to stop the wedding, but Katrina mocked him, saying she had never loved him.
Seeing Katrina sitting next to him now, Daniel couldn't help but feel relieved that it was just a dream.
He sat up, pulling her into his arms and whispering in her ear, "Darling, don't leave me again."
Katrina struggled to break free from Daniel's embrace but found him holding her tighter.
"I ended my partnership with Luna. I'll clarify things with the media today, I won't engage with anyone else in the future, I only want you," Daniel said, reluctant to let Katrina go, afraid she would run away if he loosened his grip.
Katrina scoffed, "Do you think I'm easily fooled? Do you think I'll believe your words?"
"I've never lied to you, Katrina," Daniel replied immediately.
"Then why, after last night's unsatisfactory intimacy with the heiress, did you suddenly remember me?" Katrina asked.
Daniel felt a pang in his heart at Katrina's words. He said, "I've never treated you as just a bed partner. I was with you because I love you. Last night, I came back to find you after sending Luna home. If you don't believe me, you can check the surveillance footage at the bar or call Elaine."
Katrina said, "Let go of me."
Daniel shook his head. "I won't. If I do, you'll leave me again."
"I've never said you're childish. We've already broken up, stop bothering me and go find your fiancée," Katrina retorted.
Daniel insisted stubbornly, "We haven't broken up. You're just angry with me because I chose Luna as my fiancée. Now that I've ended things with her, you have to forgive me."
"Why? Why should I forgive you just because you want me to?" Katrina asked.
"Because I haven't done anything to betray you. You can't just say it's over," Daniel immediately replied.
Katrina couldn't help but laugh at Daniel's words. She took advantage of his distraction and pushed him away forcefully. "Haven't done anything to betray me? Getting out of my bed yesterday afternoon and going to the banquet in the evening to pick a fiancée. Is that not betrayal?"
"Going to the bar with your fiancée right after we broke up, introducing her to your friends as your fiancée, is that not betrayal?" she continued.
"Now I'll find another man and bring him to Elaine's face, saying he's my fiancé. Would you be magnanimous enough to forgive me?" she challenged.
Daniel immediately said, "No, Katrina, it's not like that. I thought you didn't care. I never introduced you to my friends before because I thought you didn't want to be part of my circle."
Katrina smiled and nodded. "You're right. We're not from the same world. So stay away from me and stop bothering me."
"I'm going to bother you, Katrina. Don't think about leaving me again. I won't give you that chance," Daniel said.
"Trying to imprison me again?" Katrina asked.
Daniel didn't like the way Katrina spoke. He was almost in tears with frustration. "What do you want me to do to make you believe I'm sincere? Ever since I've been with you, I haven't had feelings for any other woman."
Katrina was taken aback by this sudden confession. "Why are you saying all this?"
Daniel took Katrina's hand and placed it over his heart. "Listen, it's beating for you now."
Katrina felt uncomfortable under Daniel's intense gaze. She said, "Don't try to seduce me with your looks."
"I have no other qualities, darling. Can't you just understand me?" Daniel tried his best to use his cute technique.
"We're still arguing, and we're broken up now," Katrina said.
Daniel lost his patience and flipped over, pressing her down beneath him.
"Talking nicely to you doesn't work, does it?" his voice was deep and magnetic, combined with his handsome face, it made Katrina's heart race.
Feeling the man's large hands roaming over her body and the hard object against her thigh, Katrina cursed angrily, "Daniel, get off, go find your fiancée."
Daniel laughed, his eyes curved with amusement. "If I really go find her now, wouldn't you be jealous and cry?"
"Don't talk nonsense!" Katrina said.
"How am I talking nonsense? Didn't someone confess to me and ask me not to be with other women last night?" Daniel said earnestly, spouting nonsense.
Katrina had drunk too much last night and didn't remember what she said, so she didn't know if Daniel was telling the truth or not.
"I didn't. Don't make up stories. I'd rather you take your fiancée home as soon as possible," Katrina said.
"Moreover, your performance in bed is nothing special. Without you, I can find younger brothers," Katrina added.
Katrina's stubborn words caught Daniel off guard. He suddenly rolled off her, put on his clothes, and left the bedroom.
Hearing the door close, Katrina sat up, tears streaming down her face instantly.
"Bastard, still saying you didn't lie to me."
"If you leave, don't come back! Go and be with your fiancée," Katrina said as the bedroom door reopened, revealing the culprit who made her cry leaning against the door frame, smiling.
"Why did you come back..." Katrina's words were cut off as someone covered her mouth.
Daniel's kiss was intense.
"Why are you crying, baby? Don't you want me to go find another woman?" He smiled as he wiped away Katrina's tears, asking knowingly.
Katrina didn't say anything, her face turning red.
"I won't go find another woman. You have to trust me. Even if I try with someone else, it won't work," Daniel said, pulling Katrina's hand to touch his private area, his voice restrained, "Sweetheart, it's all for you."
Katrina still didn't speak, turning her head away, not wanting to look at this infuriating man.
Daniel knew she was embarrassed and teased her on purpose. "Yesterday, someone said they physiologically disliked me. Wasn't it quite wet?"
