Chapter 137: Strange Beta
As soon as Beta entered the office, she saw Si Yanfang standing by her desk.
"Aren't you supposed to be with Wilson?" Beta tried to keep her voice calm.
Si Yanfang turned to look at Beta. She looked stunning in her dress today.
"Aren't you going to give me an explanation? Am I just some object to you? You call, I come; you dismiss, I leave?" Si Yanfang asked, his tone sharp.
Beta didn't expect Si Yanfang to speak so harshly. She walked straight to her desk and said, "As your supervisor, the leader of the company, do you have the choice to refuse when I assign you to another position?"
"Okay, okay, you're really domineering," Si Yanfang said, picking up his things and heading to Wilson's office without looking back.
In fact, Wilson and Beta's offices were on the same floor, and they were quite close to each other, so Si Yanfang didn't have to walk far to get to Wilson's office.
Seeing Si Yanfang being assigned to her, Wilson's first reaction was that Beta sent Si Yanfang to monitor him.
After the incident with the wedding dress, there was a lot of resentment between Wilson and Beta.
So Wilson didn't welcome anyone sent by Beta.
At the end of the day, Wilson felt uncomfortable, Beta was distracted, and Si Yanfang felt extremely bored not seeing Beta all day.
After work, Beta passed by Wilson's office and happened to hear him scolding an employee.
"If you can't handle such a small matter, don't bother coming in tomorrow!"
For some reason, Beta instinctively thought Wilson was scolding Si Yanfang. She immediately pushed open Wilson's office door.
To her surprise, she saw a new intern standing in front of Wilson, while Si Yanfang was packing up his things to leave for the day.
Seeing Beta suddenly burst in, Si Yanfang's eyes sparkled with interest.
Wilson was very unhappy with Beta's behavior. He asked, "What's the rush? Do you have something urgent?"
Beta realized she had acted impulsively. She shook her head and said, "Nothing... nothing important, I'm looking for Si Yanfang."
With that, she looked at Si Yanfang and said, "There was a mistake in yesterday's file. Come over and fix it for me."
Wilson glanced at Si Yanfang. Although they had only worked together for a day, he believed Si Yanfang was capable and wouldn't make such a rookie mistake. So he thought Beta must have other reasons for calling Si Yanfang over.
Anyway, it wouldn't be anything good for him.
"Well, if you still need him, let him continue to work with you. I don't need a special assistant for the time being," Wilson ordered.
Beta could tell that Wilson was not in a good mood at the moment. She thought it was because of the intern's mistake, so she didn't say much and just gave Si Yanfang a meaningful look before turning back to her own office.
Si Yanfang quickly followed.
"Was there a problem with my file yesterday?" Beta sighed and looked at him. "I was afraid you'd get fired, so I came over to save you. Don't you appreciate it?"
Si Yanfang raised an eyebrow, his lips curving into a smirk. "Oh, so that's it. If I get fired, I get fired. What's it to you? Who are you to me? Why bother?"
Beta couldn't believe he could be so ungrateful. She stepped forward and hugged her tightly, kissing her fiercely, breaking her lips and mingling her tongue with his.
"What's the big deal? You're mine now, I'm yours. Isn't that good enough? Why worry about the future?" Si Yanfang asked stubbornly. "Who can guarantee what will happen in the future? What if we get married later?"
Beta couldn't even dare to think about what Si Yanfang said.
She just felt his thoughts were too simple, too naive.
"Let's forget it. You don't understand my concerns," Beta said after a long silence.
"No way!" Si Yanfang said firmly. "Everything else can be forgotten, but not this! Give me a chance, Beta." He looked at her with deep affection, asking, "Can you?"
Beta remained silent for a long time before finally nodding.
Si Yanfang jumped up excitedly. "That's great!"
Seeing his childish excitement, Beta couldn't help but smile. "I'm just giving you a chance to pursue me. If I don't agree to your pursuit within a month, then it's over between us."
Si Yanfang nodded repeatedly. "A month is enough!"
Beta rolled her eyes and looked at him sternly. "Are you that confident in yourself?"
Si Yanfang raised his chin proudly. "It's not about confidence in myself, it's about confidence in you, Sister."
Beta felt uncomfortable being called sister by him. She said sternly, "Si Yanfang, speak properly."
Si Yanfang knew she was feeling shy, so he became even more cheeky. "How should I speak properly? Can't I call you sister? What should I call you then? Darling? Baby?"
"Is calling me baby okay? Do you like it?" Beta said seriously, "Si Yanfang, be serious. Call me boss in the company. Otherwise, it's not appropriate."
Si Yanfang nodded repeatedly. "Okay, boss, I won't call you baby in the company. Can I call you that outside?"
