CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-NINE - THE SLY FOX
As they entered, they were greeted by a chorus of good mornings and friendly nods. The atmosphere was busy but positive, a far cry from the tension and fear that had permeated the air during the height of the blizzard.
"Luna," a middle-aged woman approached, clutching a piece of paper. "We've compiled a list of the most urgent repair needs. Would you mind taking a look?"
Freya nodded, reaching for the list. As she scanned it, Anna peered over her shoulder, her brow furrowing in concentration.
"The Johansen's roof is still leaking," Anna murmured. "I thought we had patched that last week."
Freya shook her head. "We did, but the last of the melting snow must have found a weak spot. I'll send someone over to take another look."
"I can go," Anna offered. "I helped with the initial repairs, so I might be able to spot what we missed."
Freya looked at her, a mixture of surprise and appreciation in her eyes. "Are you sure? There's plenty to do here..."
