There was barely any distance between Julian and me. The mixture of his faint woody scent and the fragrance of the sweet olives smelled like heaven. The idea of kissing him didn't bother me, so I smiled and closed my eyes. And in the next second, a gentle kiss brushed against my lips. It was as soft as a feather, and my heart skipped a beat for the first time in a very long time. He held me in his arms and asked, "Let's get married when you're ready, alright?" I leaned against his chest, listening to the strong, rapid beating of his heart. I felt incredibly at ease for some reason. "Alright," I answered. It was true that a good relationship could make a person a better version of themselves. After that night, I felt as if a heavy weight had been taken off my chest, and I was fully refreshed. I woke up early as usual and went for a run with Jasmine. We had grown up together, and we were even neighbors. She had spent a long time trying to talk me out of leaving back then, and
