Chapter 1918 Eldrian’s Curse
“Just… run!” Eldrian seemed to have discovered something. He continued to yell at Dillon, warning him to flee. Unfortunately, it was too late for them to leave.
A thick layer of thunder clouds suddenly gathered and hovered above the Sword Cliff. The terrifying thunder blasted down from the void. The entire Sword Cliff was engulfed by thunder and lightning.
“Arghhh!” Eldrian’s incredibly shrill and miserable screams erupted from the cliff.
The next second everyone knew, Eldrian’s body was detached from the cliff. His body was circulated by sharp swords, while a large crowd of swords trailed behind him as they shot all the way in the direction of Dillon and Tyr.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
Eldrian was no longer screaming at Tyr and Dillon to flee from the scene as quickly as possible. His eyes were bloodshot, giving them the impression that he was about to devour them both.
“Something’s wrong! Eldrian seems to be manipulated by an unknown force!”
Dillon was stunned. The oppressive force that came from across him made all of his hairs across his body stand up involuntarily.
“Back off!”
Tyr took a sudden step forward and shielded Dillon behind him, powerful tyrannical vitality energy erupting from his body during the process. He proudly stood on the ground with the Celestial Blade in his hand.
“I don’t care what kind of monster you are! Bring it on!” Tyr, let out a thunderous roar. A bright golden light was emitted from his body. Golden runes continued to encircle him.
The cold, sharp swords had completely engulfed Eldrian at this point, leaving only his hideous head exposed on the outside.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Thunder and lightning struck the sky. Violent blade energy roamed freely on the cliff. Eldrian charged toward Tyr on the ground with a million swords trailing after him.
“Come on!” Tyr didn’t dodge that attack, instead opting to meet it head-on. Then, he used his blade to block the first sword that was shot at him.
Clang!
The sound of metal colliding echoed throughout the void. The sword storm kept rotating around the two of them. It eventually engulfed the two, forming a massive sword storm that rushed straight into the sky.
Meanwhile, Dillon continued to retreat. His aura was being negatively affected, and he had numerous open wounds on his body. Despite this, he couldn’t bother with his injuries and stared worriedly at the sword storm which formed in the sky.
Tyr and Eldrian were both caught in the sword storm, and Dillon had no idea if they’d make it out alive.
It wasn’t until a few minutes later that there was an unexpected explosion in the air. Hundreds of cold swords were blown apart, covering the entire sky in the same way that locusts would cover a farm.
Tyr and Eldrian fell from the sky at the same time. They both grabbed Dillon as soon as they landed and dashed off into the distance at top speed.
Countless swords were dancing in the air. The Sword Cliff radiated a mysterious power at the time, drawing countless cold swords toward it like a huge magnet.
Peace had finally returned to the world, but the three of them remained where they were fearfully. It took them some time to calm down.
“Young Warrior, thank you for your help,” Eldrian immediately thanked Tyr after calming down. “I didn’t expect you to have such combat strength at your young age,” he continued. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you broke through the legendary God realm in your lifetime.”
Eldrian had been alive for nearly 200 years. Hence, he spoke in an old-fashioned manner by addressing Tyr as Young Warrior. He asked, “Young Warrior, what is your name?”
“I’m Tyr Summers!” Tyr saluted him right away. “Senior Eldrian, I have heard so many stories about you.”
“Oh, you are Tyr?” Eldrian’s face glowed with a hint of surprise.
Simultaneously, his aura appeared to be much weaker after the red sword pattern on his forehead vanished. Tyr was aware of this change, which worried him greatly. When he met Maxime the last time, he noticed that his aura was very similar to Eldrian’s at the time.
It was the aura of a Demigod who had exhausted their vigor and was about to meet their maker.
Tyr was a little surprised by Eldrian’s reaction. He couldn’t help but ask, “Senior Eldrian, you actually recognize me?”
“Of course,” Eldrian explained. “Thank you so much for your support when an unforeseen disaster had befallen my clan, Young Warrior.”
Tyr was taken aback. Even though Eldrian didn’t stay at the White residence, he was aware of everything that had happened to his family. He inquired, “What just happened, Senior Eldrian?”
Eldrian’s face was still filled with fear as he recalled what just happened. “I had spent most of my time on Sword Cliff over the past few years, preparing this place for Dillon to climb the cliff and enter the Demigod realm,” he explained.
“At first, everything went very smoothly. However, I discovered that this cliff was alive about six months ago. It can command the swords on the cliff to attack me. My power was inferior to the cliff. In the end, I was bound to the cliff.”
“The cliff is alive? What do you mean by that?” Tyr and Dillon looked quite surprised.
“This cliff was forged by the ancient Kendo God,” Eldrian explained after taking a deep breath.
“During his lifetime, it contained the Kendo God’s supreme moves. When I said this cliff is alive, I’m implying that the ancient Kendo God is still alive. He has hidden on this cliff with the last trace of his breath. His goal is to have someone from the future generations climb the cliff so that he could take over their body and walk on the earth again.“
Both Tyr and Dillon couldn’t help but inhale sharply.
“That God is still alive and attempting to reincarnate by using other people’s bodies?”
“It’s pretty much sums up what I’m trying to say. When I was trapped on the cliff, God’s remnant soul almost took over my body,” Eldrian said while nodding.
The elderly Demigod turned around and gazed at the Sword Cliff while continuing to explain. “He was only a remnant soul, so he couldn’t consume my will in a short time. We had just reached the most critical stage when you two arrived. Fortunately, the Young Warrior here has incredible strength. You helped me to release myself from the shackles of the sword god and his remnant soul. Otherwise, the ramifications would be unfathomable.”
“Dillon, my time is running out,” Eldrian said to Dillon next to him.
“We must produce another Demigod for the sake of our family’s inheritance, and you are the best candidate. The Kendo God’s soul remnant is no longer on the cliff. You just need to climb to the top and be enlightened with the God’s unique skills during his lifetime and become a Demigod. Are you ready?”
“Yes!” Dillon inhaled deeply and gripped the Sword of Grace in his hands. “Eldrian, I’m ready,” he replied.
“Good.” Eldrian slapped Dillon’s shoulder. “You must fight ten thousand swords, master ten thousand moves, and break into the Demigod realm in one fell swoop. I will now send you to the Sword Cliff with what’s left of my power.”
