Chapter 1924 The Ultimate Oppression
The patriarchs looked around them. Everyone could clearly sense the presence of several powerful oppressive forces advancing in their direction.
There must have been a few Demigods from the Creeds that were hiding nearby. They intended to show themselves now to proceed with their plot to rob the White family’s resources and forcibly suppress Dillon.
This was the ugly truth of the ancient martial arts world. The so-called rules were only meant to keep mortals in check. Rules were merely ornaments for the powerful.
Dillon was aware of the growing pressure in his surroundings. Despite this, he remained calm. Tyr decided to stand up on the other side.
With a casual wave of his hand, the Celestial Blade appeared out of thin air. Tyr slashed his blade into nothingness right after that.
The terrifying sword glow swept into the distance, accompanied by incredible tyrannical vitality energy. A crack appeared in the void immediately. Simultaneously, an explosion could be heard from the other side.
Tyr’s attack appeared to have hit someone!
“You’re Tyr Summers from the Regal Palace!” When those in attendance saw Tyr, their pupils shrank once more.
Tyr stowed his blade. He fixed his gaze on the direction where his sword’s glow had slashed into the distance.
“The matriarch of the White family, Olympias White, is the King of Regal Palace,” he said imperiously. “The White family and Regal Palace are together in this. You should get my permission if you want to bully them. As for the Demigod out there, I don’t care which Creed you belong to, but if you dare take another step forward, I will slay you with my Celestial Blade.”
That Demigod no longer dared to approach them because of Tyr’s commanding voice and overbearing strength. After all, Tyr’s previous record, in which he had slain three veteran Demigods in a row, was made public by GPE a long time ago.
Those patriarchs’ expressions became even more hideous. Surprisingly, all of this was only the beginning.
A black figure dashed in their direction from a distance and kneeled in front of Tyr. It was Cacus, who was also a Demigod.
“That’s Cacus from Regal Palace. He’s Tyr’s puppet. Together with Dillon, there are a total of three Demigods that has shown their support for the Whites.”
Discussions erupted from the crowd immediately. Needless to say, everyone was shocked.
“The East clan also disagrees with your decision to devour the White family.” Another domineering voice rang out at the same time. It was Archie, who had regained his youth. He was dressed in white robes and flew over quickly like an immortal.
“That’s Archie, the Demigod of the East clan!” someone exclaimed in shock. Along with the appearance of Archie, there were four Demigods that supported the White family.
Their appearances had yet to push the situation to its climax.
Sounds of wheels being turned could be heard. Jim was dressed in white as well. He had arrived unhurriedly with Ithel pushing his wheelchair.
Jim waved his hand casually. There was a massive formation that appeared in the void. There was lightning and thunder, and occasionally violent storms and winds that appeared in the formation. It looked like an incredible magical spell.
“After my master died, I was fortunate enough to enter the Demigod with the aid of Nostro’s compass and became the Lord of the Red Tower. However, I’m the White family’s son-in-law today.” Jim flicked his fingers to dispel the formation, looking incredibly charming during the process.
The scene fell into complete silence. Together with Jim’s appearance, the Whites were being backed up by five Demigods. What was even worse was that Jim was the Lord of the Red Tower, the almighty Demigod of Dragun Squad, and he also happened to be the Whites’ son-in-law. Technically speaking, the Whites now owned two Demigods.
Those patriarchs’ complexions turned as white as a sheet. The powerful aura of the Whites’ allies astounded those Demigods that lurked in the shadows. They sensed that something was wrong. Suppressing their ferocious aura immediately, they fled with their tails between their legs.
Since the Demigods had fled, how could those patriarchs continue to be so arrogant?
The level of their embarrassment was the same as the level of their arrogance they had showcased just now. Those arrogant men wouldn’t even dare to breathe loudly at this point.
Dillon stowed his sword and approached Corin and his peers. “Do you still want to deprive my family of the title of Creed and divide our resources?” he inquired.
Their expressions shifted dramatically. “Come on, Regis!” Ackley said with a forced grin.
“We were just handling the situation according to the rules. Your family will naturally remain as a Creed now that you have a new Demigod. How can we strip your family of the title as a Creed? By the way, my family recently discovered a 10,000-year-old Snow Lotus in the snow mountain. I’ll have someone send it to you right away as a gift to commemorate the Whites’ new Demigod.”
“Yes, that’s right! It just so happens that the Wrights have recently forged a set of magical weapons. I’ll have my men send it over right away. Congratulations, Sword Warrior!” Errol added quickly. “Congratulations on becoming the new Demigod!”
Dillon was unmoved by the patriarchs’ praises. Regis suddenly laughed loudly. “Thank you so much for your well wishes, Patriarch Reiss and Patriarch Wright. Since you’re so sincere, my family will accept your gifts gratefully.”
Regis’ octave clearly increased by several points when he spoke. He also purposefully cast a glance at Dace and Corin at the same time.
Corin, Dace, and the expressions of their peers were extremely ugly at this point. They came here today excitedly, thinking they were going to divide the Whites’ resources. They didn’t anticipate that they would return with nothing. They fell into the trap the Whites had set up beforehand.
“Some time ago, Corliss entered a forbidden place and discovered a magical tree that could grow exceptional magical fruits,” Corin said as his face twitched slightly. “I will have the fruits delivered to you in a few days.”
“When exactly will that be?” Regis asked cheekily. Since those patriarchs were acting shamelessly earlier, now was the perfect time for him to reveal his true colors.
“Why are you promising something that’s filled with uncertainties, Patriarch Meyer? Coincidentally, my tower is short of an accent tree. I believe the magical tree you mentioned will be a good match for my tower.”
“Accent tree?” When Corin heard this, he was so angry that he could have coughed up blood on the spot.
The other onlookers were silently cursing Regis as well. Clearly, the latter had gone too far, which disgusted Corin to no end.
Corin’s features were twisted, but he managed to smile and say, “Since you like it so much, I’ll have someone send it over tomorrow.”
“Then I would like to express my gratitude to you, Patriarch Meyer. Also, please express my gratitude to your Demigod.”
Regis guffawed once more after he finished speaking. He was delighted that he finally had the chance to make a comeback after resenting the patriarchs for a very long time.
Immediately after that, Regis glanced at Dace, who stood on the sidelines. Before Regis could say anything, Dace hurriedly said, “It’s such a coincidence that I’ve discovered something precious in my family’s treasure vault…”
“Stop it right there.”
