Chapter 1925 The Extortion
Dace was abruptly interrupted by Regis before he could finish his sentence.
Regis narrowed his eyes and revealed the true nature of a cunning old fox. He said, “Patriarch Fryee, I heard your family discovered a map a few months ago. Isn’t it the map of a forbidden place? I heard you sent a team into that forbidden place and gained some benefits from it!”
Dace’s complexion changed dramatically. He hurriedly said, “Senior White, it’s just an ordinary forbidden place. We never discovered anything interesting there.”
“How about you give me that map if that’s the caset? You see, I’ve been pretty bored recently. I want to go to a forbidden place and have a good time there. Perhaps I might even become a Demigod just like my son!”
“Well. . .” Dace stood motionless in place. His complexion became a shade paler.
Regis was requesting a sizable compensation, and everyone knew what a forbidden location meant to a Creed. Its value was second only to Demigod.
“Patriarch Fryee, what is it? You don’t want to do it?” Regis’s tone grew slightly icy.
Tyr and Dillon took an involuntary step forward when they saw this. Dace was on the verge of kneeling because of their terrifying oppression.
“Yes! Of course, I’m happy to share it with you. I will send it to you by tomorrow.” When Dace said this, he was on the verge of crying.
Regis laughed, “Why should we ask to send over the map? How inconvenient is that? You can ask your family to take a picture of it and send it to my phone.”
That old fox actually took out his phone at that point. “Hey, let’s add each other as Whatsapp friends. The relationship between major Creeds is no longer as close as it once was. We’re all patriarchs, but we aren’t even friends on social media. We need to communicate with each other more frequently in the future.”
Dace was speechless.
Following that, the entire event became Regis’ personal show. Regardless of whether the Creed or other forces were present, they paid a high price to Regis. These ferocious beasts showed up excitedly, but who’d have guessed they’d end up like this? Not only did they receive no benefits, but the Whites also robbed them of a large portion of their resources.
This was how the conference ended. The gathering could be described as the meeting with the most significant twist in the thousand-year tradition of the community.
The Whites returned to their manor after the meeting. Archie and Jim were also invited as guests to the White’s manor.
The Whites had won by a landslide in the conference. Everyone also knew that Dillon had entered the Demigod realm. The gloom that had engulfed the family since Eldrian’s death began to fade as a result.
“Eldrian, you can leave peacefully now. Our family can count on me from now on,” Dillon uttered as he lit three candles before Eldrian’s grave respectfully. His eyes became slightly red, and he appeared to be in a bad mood.
Dillon had always been perceived as cold and ruthless by the general public. Despite everyone’s objections, he left his family to pursue the supreme realm of kendo arts. Many people had chastised him for being heartless when he didn’t return home for over a decade.
On the contrary, Dillon didn’t have a heart of stone. He was just a man who was trying to achieve his own goals.
Undoubtedly, Eldrian was the one who had helped Dillon the most, so it was natural for him to have built a deep relationship with the former. The elderly Demigod’s death had broken his heart, that was for sure.

Back in the Regis Tower, Olympias and Jim stood next to the lotus pond while Regis sat close to it and fished there.
“Greetings, Grandpa.” This was Jim’s first encounter with Regis.
The Whites had previously expressed their reservations about Olympias and Jim’s marriage. After all, Jim was only the King of Regal Palace at the time, while the White family was a Creed. When Olympias became the matriarch, the identity gap between them grew wider.
After they got married, Jim never visited the Whites.
Things were very different now. Jim’s achievements had reached new heights. Not only did he become a Demigod, but he was also the Lord of the Red Tower and the legendary existence behind tthe mighty Dragun Squad. His newfound status made him worthy in his marriage with Olympias.
“You don’t have to be so polite.” Regis couldn’t hide his delight when he looked at Jim. “Having you as my son-in-law must be a blessing for my family for generations to come,” he said, his wide smile making his eyes crinkle.
“That’s not what you said in the past, Grandpa!” Olympias didn’t hesitate expose Regis’ lies on the spot.
“Girl, what kind of nonsense are you talking about?” Regis coughed before chiding Olympias. “When have I ever gone against your marriage?”
“That’s true, but it’s because you couldn’t stop me,” Olympias retorted. “Grandpa, you once promised me that when Uncle Dillon returns, I can quit being the matriarch. Now that he has returned as a Demigod, can I step down from my position?”
Regis’ face darkened as soon as he heard Olympias’ request. He turned around while clutching the fishing rod with both hands as he stared at the lotus pond in front of him silently.
“Grandpa, surely you can’t be going back on your word, right?” Olympias had a bad feeling in her heart after seeing Regis’ reaction. The scene where this old man blackmailed those Creeds at the meeting kept flashing in her mind.
Regis had never been reliable. He was even been known to pull off stunts like faking his own death. He was fully capable of breaking promises.
Olympias became nervous all of a sudden. What should she do if her grandfather were to break his promise and tried to bind her here? If she asked Jim to take her away forcibly, it would produce a lot of friction between her with Regis.
Jim sat quietly on the sidelines. It would be best if he avoided getting involved in such situations.
After a long time, Regis finally spoke up. “Girl, have you made up your mind?”
“Yes. Grandpa, I’m used to my wild and carefree life in the outside world,” Olympias said with a firm nod. “I’ve been living with my brothers in Regal Palace for so many years. Compared to our family manor, I prefer to live there.”
“Is our family’s affection still inferior to your Regal Palace’s brotherhood?” Regis exhaled deeply. He didn’t want to bring it up, but there was no way he could avoid the topic when things got to this point.
