Chapter 1930 Spartacus’ Realm
“You’ve got a point, so what’s your plan?” Tyr wondered aloud.
“We need a good reason to wage a war,” Jim answered.
“Do you mean...?” Tyr’s eyes gleamed with delight when he realized what Jim meant.
Jim nodded. “The Liberated and the Jackals have both left the country and established their organizations abroad. However, the Jackals were expelled from our country because their leader displayed traitorous behavior while our country was at war, so when the country was re-established, they had no place in the Celestial Empire.
“However, that wasn’t the case for the Liberated. The reason for them to develop their power overseas was because of an agreement with the government. The Liberated has had a good relationship with the officials for years.
“One of them is our comrade, while the other is a traitor. Do you think Dragun Squad can sit by and watch the traitor bully our comrades? Is Regal Palace, as the largest overseas organization in the past, able to sit idly and do nothing?
“Notify the Liberated and ask Emmett to send someone to Dragun Squad and Regal Palace to request our assistance in dealing with the Jackals,” Tyr grinned. “We have a good reason to intervene in this case.”
“Bingo!” Jim chuckled and nodded. Obviously, their thoughts coincided.
“Old Zab, you are incredibly smart, which is why you can become a Demigod in such a short time.” Tyr pointed his fingers at his brain and continued, “I believe you’ll outperform Senior Belisarius now that you are in charge of the Red Tower.”
Jim asked Olympias to refill a bowl of grits for him. He blew at the food to cool it down before replying, “Boss, you don’t have to flatter me. The Liberated will take action soon, so we need to branch out. I’ll go to the Dragon Palace to find the third book, whereas you need to take a flight to find the fourth book.”
“Hmm. Do you have any updates on the fifth book?” Tyr inquired.
“It is said that the fifth book is the most mysterious of the five,” Jim answered after a brief pause.
“I can’t track it down with my Nostro compass. It will definitely be a challenge to locate the fifth book. I heard from Master that the books were born via the fortune of a dynasty. If we can successfully collect all four books, we should be able to detect the existence of the fifth book when all four books are combined.”
“Boss, it’s way too early to be thinking about this. We must locate the books as quickly as possible. After all, the arctic’s energy makes me feel uneasy.”
“All right!”
The two had decided on their paths at this point. Tyr and Jim later studied the Dragon Palace’s layout. They snuck into the riverbed that afternoon and arrived at the Dragon Palace.
At the Dragon Palace’s gate, various undercurrents were surging at the river’s bottom. The massive iron chains that extended all the way into the Dragon Palace still made quite an impression on them.
They stood in front of the Dragon Palace, not planning to head inside anytime soon. Although they were now Demigods, they still had to approach this unique location with caution.
Jim was holding the Nostro Compass, trying his utmost hardest to sense the Dragon Palace’s aura. The compass was said to be able to manifest anything in this world, and it was especially sensitive to the presence of forbidden places.
The compass soon detected activity from the Dragon Palace. Jim sat cross-legged before the palace. He closed his eyes as if he was meditating.
It didn’t take long for Jim to open his eyes, but he appeared to be exhausted. They could stay at the bottom of the river for a long time because they were both Demigods, but they couldn’t remain underwater as long as fishes could.
Jim stood up on the river’s bottom. Despite his disability, he was able to swim in the river with ease. After he swam a few laps around the Dragon Palace, he started swimming along the thick iron chains for a while.
Finally, he made a gesture to Tyr. After that, the duo swam back to the river’s surface. After they surfaced, they went back to their respective rooms to change into a clean set of clothes.
After that, Jim went to the riverside in his wheelchair. Waves were constantly swaying on the river’s surface. There was a raging undercurrent beneath the surface.
“What’s going on down there?” Tyr wondered aloud.
“It’s the same as before. A formation has been set up before the Dragon Palace’s gate,” Jim replied. “There’s an enchantment inside the Dragon Palace.”
“Did an ancient God open up that enchantment?” Tyr asked. “Does that mean the Dragon Palace was built by an ancient God?”
“Not exactly. This place is the same as the Devil’s Eye you visited in the past,” Jim explained with a shake of his head.
“The ancient God created the space, but he didn’t build the Dragon Palace. The person who built the Dragon Palace should have found the place and decided to construct the palace there.”
“Can you give me a reading on who was the one that built the Dragon Palace? Are you certain the third book is inside the space?” Tyr inquired. “If that’s the case, what kind of book is the third book?”
Jim replied, “I’m not sure who the Dragon Palace’s owner is at this time, but I’m certain that person isn’t a God, but rather a highly skilled master of formation and metaphysics.”
“Someone like you?”
“His skills are far superior to mine. You can sense it through the layout of the formation before the Dragon Palace,” Jim continued. “He was undeniably powerful, perhaps even the best of his generation. In terms of overall strength, only Senior Spartacus comes close to matching him.”
Tyr became enthralled when he heard about Spartacus. He had always imagined Spartacus as a powerful and terrifying existence. After all, this mighty warrior once suppressed all the Demigods of the community. For nearly a century, he forced those ancient monsters to stay away from mortal cities.
Tyr was curious about the current realm of such a powerful God.
”Do you know what realm Spartacus has attained at this point, Old Zab?” Tyr wondered aloud.
If Jim hadn’t been made Lord of the Red Tower, he would not have known how powerful Spartacus was, but now that he had, he knew a lot more about Spartacus.
Jim replied, “God is a realm above the Demigod. There hasn’t been a God in this world for a millennium, so Senior Spartacus is not a God for sure. Still, he’s said to be able to split the sky in half with his blade. I believe he’s a step away from entering God’s realm”
“Just a step away?” Tyr was taken aback. Even though he was now a powerful Demigod, he had no idea what kind of realm it was for someone who was only one step away from God.
