Chapter 1943 Changing One’s Fate

“Wahahaha!” The Grand Priest burst into laughter after a long silence. The more he laughed, the more excited he became. “Frode, you refused to team up with me! Look at where it got you! Now, you and Tyr are both in disadvantageous situations, but I’m still in my prime! How can you possible go against me? “Come with me!” commanded the Grand Priest as he confidently took a step forward. “Let’s murder them and take away their books!” Those agents were surprised, but they knew what Grand Priest meant. Everyone was ecstatic. One by one, those agents began to quicken their paces, sprinting as quickly as they could toward the manor. Tyr closed his eyes and used his books to sense the existence of the third book after slaughtering Forde. He soon realized the tome was hidden in the mountain behind the manor. A group of people rushed up to Tyr when he was about to pick up the book from the mountain. Tyr came to a halt in his tracks. He turned to face these individuals and frowned involuntarily. “Grand Priest of Japan’s Kamikakushi, why do you keep popping up everywhere I go?” Tyr was irritated, to say the least. He was having trouble controlling his rage. Why was the Grand Priest causing so much havoc? He first appeared in Sacred Mountain, then in God Valley, which Tyr could understand because both locations were close to Japan, but they were now in America! He was still being followed around by this b*stard! The flames in the Grand Priest’s eyes became increasingly ferocious. “Tyr, I didn’t expect that you’d be able to kill Frode!” he exclaimed. “Of course, the student outperforms the teacher! Your performance is commendable.” “What are you trying to do?” Tyr asked coldly. He had no intention of talking to the Grand Priest. “Wahahaha! Don’t you know why I came here?” The Grand Priest laughed loudly, making no secret of his ambition. “According to legend, collecting five books can morph a man into a God. Once Frode’s book in included, there should be three books in total, right? You are so ambitious! Are you actually going to great lengths just to collect all five books?” “You wanted to take the books from me? Grand Priest, aren’t you aware of your own strength?” Tyr asked darkly. “Wahaha! Tyr, you are right!” said the Grand Priest, still laughing shrilly. “My strength is inferior to yours and Frode’s. You have just fought a fierce battle, not to mention that Frode just died in your hands… If I’m not mistaken, your power has been depleted, right? It will take days for you to regain your strength. How could you fight with me if your strength is already depleted? If you know what’s good for you, you should hand over all the books to me! I might be willing to spare your life!” “You want my books?” Tyr narrowed his eyes, “All right! Come and get it!” Two glowing magic books were suspended in Tyr’s palm with a single wave. When the Grand Priest saw the books, he became ecstatic. However, he wasn’t the only one who was overjoyed; those agents next to him were equally enthusiastic. Those were the legendary magic books! One could be a God by collecting all five books. “Hahaha! Tyr, you’re a smart man, after all!” The Grand Priest assumed that Tyr was scared when he saw Tyr display the books without hesitation. After all, a regular fighter would have depleted their vitality energy after his battle with Frode. “Grand Priest, you’ve heard that if you collect five books, you can become a God, but did you know that these books were born out of the Celestial dynasties’ luck? The techniques can only be cultivated by those with the finest Sapphire Fate. You can’t cultivate it even if you have the books.” “Tyr, these are not the things you should be concerned about,” Grand Priest replied with a grin. “Have you heard about the ways to change your fate against nature?” “Change your fate against nature? Is there a way to change one’s predestined fate out there?” Tyr was taken aback when he heard the outrageous theory. This idea may seem incredible, but Tyr had a suspicion that this method was not legit. He gradually realized that one could not escape the course of nature after extensive contact with Maxime and Eldrian. If someone were to do something like this forcibly, they will face a terrifying backlash. However, was there a limit for a man like Grand Priest? He would stop at nothing to achieve his goal. “Tyr, bring me the books! I’ll let you live if you do that!” The Grand Priest declared that he would spare Tyr, but his heart told him otherwise. Once he got the books, he would kill Tyr. There was a history between them. The duo had become mortal enemies, so he would never pass up the chance to kill Tyr. “If you want the books, come and get them yourself!” Tyr said. The Grand Priest was cautious, so he cast a sidelong glance at Takahashi. The reason for this remains unknown. Even though they knew Tyr’s vitality energy had run out at this point, these people were still afraid of him. This man was still a Demigod, after all. “Go and bring me the books!” Takahashi said to an agent who stood beside him. That agent hesitated, but he knew he couldn’t defy Takahashi’s command. He took a cautious step forward, ready to take the books. He felt a terrifying force sucking up his inner strength as soon as his hand touched the books. His inner strength was sucked dry in the blink of an eye, and he collapsed to the ground. “Tyr, what have you done?” Seeing this scene, both the Grand Priest and those agents panicked. The Grand Priest made a wave with his hands, quickly bombarding Tyr with waves of black vitality energy. “You’ve bitten off more than you can bite!” Tyr swung his fist at the vitality energy and smashed everything without any hesitation. The Grand Priest’s vitality energy was instantly shattered by that punch. In a flash, Tyr teleported himself before Grand Priest and landed another punch on his chest. Boom! The ground in their immediate vicinity cracked with a loud boom. The Grand Priest was blasted away by Tyr’s punch. Those agents in the area were affected and quickly fell to the ground. Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh! The Grand Priest gushed a mouthful of blood as his vitality energy faded. “Y-Y-You… You’re…” he exclaimed while staring at Tyr incredulously. “This is impossible! How is this even possible?” The Grand Priest’s heart was filled with a shock that was indescribable with words. Tyr and Frode were engaged in a fight earlier, and it was clear that the fight had sapped him of his vitality energy. Yet, why was he still so powerful?
