Chapter 380 It Comes To Me Naturally The Moment I Feast My Eyes On You

Amanda carried a bit of worry in her at first, but after listening to Lyla, her mind was finally at ease. She did not care for other people’s views but took Lyla’s opinion to heart. It might be perhaps Amanda found Lyla to be rather rational and of high moral standards. Moreover, Amanda admired Lyla for never compromising herself. With that in mind, Amanda let loose and rested her head on Lyla’s shoulder. “Thank you, Lyla.” Lyla curled her lips and smiled without another word. Neil happened to get up and approach them. “I’m sorry, I may need to steal her away for a moment.” Uh? Amanda stared at her, completely oblivious to the reason. Neil unbuckled Amanda's seat belt and pulled her away. It happened under everyone’s watchful eye. Amanda was in a daze, having no clue what he was trying to do. Lyla appeared confused as well. Mark came over and sat by Lyla, prompting the latter to turn to him. “What’s the situation?” Mark lifted the corner of his lips and smiled. “He can’t exercise control.” ... Neil pulled Amanda to the lavatory and hurled her in before making strides in himself and locking the door behind him. Before Amanda could ask any questions, Neil’s lips had sealed against hers. “Quit it, uh.” Intimidated, she reached out to push away his chest. Paying no thought, Neil locked her in his arms and stole a kiss from her lips. Amanda was feeling bashful. After all, what would the people outside think of him blatantly pulling her in here? Noticing her wandering mind, Neil bit on her lips as a form of punishment. The pain snapped Amanda out of her thoughts. She was tempted to smack him off but Neil’s kisses turned soft. With her mind going blank, Amanda sunk into the warmth of his gentleness. Nevertheless, Neil was pushing it as his hand began to wander the curves of her body. Realizing this, Amanda immediately stopped him. They were on a plane. God knew what he would do if she did not put a stop to it. Amanda grabbed his hand. “Stop...” Amid her sheepishness and nervousness, Neil smiled and let go of her. “Don’t worry, I won’t do it here.” Amanda, “...” After the kiss, Neil looked deep into her eyes and caressed her mane. “Not bad. You’re improving.” “What?” Perplexed for a moment, Amanda blurted. With smiling eyes, Neil dotingly gazed at her before gently pressing his fingers against her pink lips. “Here...” Amanda turned red in the face. “Well, thanks to your proper guidance.” Neil seemed to be in a great mood. He nodded in self-affirmation. “Yes, indeed but you’re still lacking a little. There’s still room for improvement.” Amanda, “...” Gazing into each other’s eyes, Neil wanted to draw near once more when there was a knock on the door. “Is anyone there?” A voice was heard from outside. Amanda turned her attention to Neil. It was only then that she realized that they were in the lavatory! The people’s minds would fall in the gutter if they were seen together. “What do we do now?” Amanda mouthed the words. Not at all in a panic, Neil let out a smile to ease her worry before opening the door. Amanda gasped. He sure lived life on his own terms. However, Amanda’s quick wits took charge following the shocked look on the person’s face at the door. “Hubby, help me up,” she said softly while kneading her back as if she was pregnant. Neil was dumbstruck. He did mind what other people thought as he wanted nothing more than letting everyone know that they were together. Nonetheless, he was caught off guard by Amanda’s sudden gesture but more so pleasantly surprised. His eyes lingered around her for a second before singing to her tune. “Yes, darling. Slow down...” He placed his hands on her body to help her walk out. The person looked at them weirdly at first but showed understanding after the stunt. Amanda let out a sigh of relief once they were out of the person’s sight. With Lyla and Mark’s eyes fixating on them, Amanda insisted on pretending as though nothing had happened while she took a seat to one side. Once seated, Amanda buried her head in Neil’s arms. “What’s wrong??” Neil asked with a smile. “It was so embarrassing.” “What’s embarrassing?” “It’s fine if it was someone else. I don’t know them anyway, but did you see the look on Mr. Pattinson’s and Lyla’s faces? It was like we did something...” “So what? It’s not as though we didn’t.” Amanda, “...” She had no words to see Neil completely unfazed. “You appear to have an abundance of experience.” Neil extended his arms to embrace her. “I don’t have a lot of experience.” “Yeah, right. You seem rather skilled.” “Mainly, it comes to me naturally the moment I feast my eyes on you.” Amanda, “...” For some reason, it put Amanda in a really good mood after he said that. Perhaps she was without memories of the past or perhaps she knew nothing about Neil, but right there and then, she had a clear sense of her feelings. Amanda was bewitched by this man. His every word left her feeling sweet. She wanted to be with him forever, having many days together such as this. Without a word, she reached out to hug him and nestle in his embrace. ... Seeing how well Amanda and Neil were getting along, Lyla’s mind was put at rest. This trip was worth it. Exchanging a glance, Mark and Lyla held their hands together tightly. After a full-day flight, the group finally arrived at Alpine City. By the time they disembarked the plane, J was already waiting at the airport. Mark put away his luggage before turning to Neil. “Let’s go have a meal and then head back for some rest.” Neil held onto Amanda. “You guys should go ahead. We won’t be joining you.” Mark narrowed his eyes at him. Neil then took a glance at the person in his arms. “We need some alone time.” “There’s no need for that...” “Who says there’s no need? I haven’t recovered from my wounds. You have to take care of me.” Amanda, “...” What an absurd excuse. They were about to take off when Neil was struck by a thought. “Oh, right. Do help her in taking a few days off. You know, I’m injured...” Mark, “...” Neil waved them goodbye before Mark could answer. “I wish you a long and happy life together.” He waved and left. Amanda could only watch as the whole scene unfolded without having a say in the situation. She was not keen on picking sides anyway. Amanda wanted to leave with him like this. ... Looking at their receding figures, both Lyla and Mark grinned. “Let’s head back.” Lyla nodded. The couple went home together. Although Mark had not been around, there had not been a delay in the wedding plans. While residing abroad, he had been working out the plans. Master Pattinson had the food ready by the time they got home. After a meal and a chat, Lyla felt weary and excused herself upstairs to rest. Although the journey was not very tiring, it was still a journey, paired with a time difference after all. She climbed up the stairs to her room to lay her head. Mark, on the other hand, made way to his office. There were still a lot of matters to attend to. Mark was clearing paperwork when J came in to report on a few matters. Following that, he mumbled as he stood there. Noticing that there was something on J’s mind, Mark cried without lifting his head, “Just say it.” J took a glance at him before speaking up, “It’s nothing important...” Disgruntled, Mark lifted his head to meet his gaze. “Since when have you started to drag your feet?” J immediately voiced out, “Caty Davis has escaped.” Taken aback, Mark frowned. “What did you say?” “Caty Davis suffered a sudden heart attack in detention a few days ago and was sent to the hospital. Who knew she fled while on the way?” Mark found it amusing. “Was she alone?” “It seems to be the case.” Mark tossed his pen on the table. “Are you sure of what you’re telling me? Or is this all a telenovela?” J was at a loss for words. “When did this happen?” “Two days ago.” “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” “You were abroad and I didn’t want to ruin the mood. Moreover, she won’t go far if she intends to seek vengeance...” Speaking of this, it did call Mark’s attention to the matter. He uttered, “Find her no matter what. Also, arrange protection for Lyla.” J nodded. “Got it. I will handle it right away.” He turned to leave. Sitting in the office, Mark took a deep breath. It never occurred to him that such a thing would happen on a done-and-dusted ordeal. He was clear that Caty would do anything for Delilah, seeing how she was willing to surrender for her sake. Her target had always been Lyla... Mark could not help but worry with that in mind. He would never allow anything to happen to Lyla this time! Keeping that in mind, he turned and picked up the keys on the table before walking out. ... The Pattinsons’ residence. After rushing home, Mark pushed open the doors to the bedroom. He walked in to find Lyla sleeping in bed. With that, the heart in his throat finally sank back into place. He slowly took strides in and sat by the bed before reaching out to softly caress her hair and face. The cautiousness displayed gave an impression that he was handling a priceless treasure. Lyla, don’t worry. I won’t let anything happen to you this time, nor would I allow you to ever leave my side!
