Seeing her weep bitterly as if she had been hurt deeply, Mark Pattinson looked at her coldly. Kathleen Turner—this woman had been with him for six years. As she heard this, Erica Thomson looked at Kathleen Turner. She frowned and did not know how to reply to him. “I’ve asked the doctor, her body is back to a healthy state and can discharge from the hospital at any time. Also, she can stay at home till the fuss dies down!” Mark Pattinson said nonchalantly, “I still have some work on hand in the company, I need to go back and settle them!” As they listened to Mark Pattinson’s words, one could judge that he was already considered a good man, given the current situation, since he was willing to show up, as well as give some constructive advice. Initially, the entrance of M.K. Corporation was crowded with many reporters. However, the moment they heard that Mark Pattinson showed up in the hospital, all of them retreated. As soon as the crowd had adjourned, Mark Pattinson returned to that same place. Not a single soul right in front of the entrance, except Paul, whom he threw his car keys at him. Then, he brought Gretel and walked in. The office was in an instant uproar. Knowing that Mark Pattinson had brought the girl back to the office, the news spread like wildfire, and within the blink of an eye, everyone knew about it. Everyone had their own guesses with regard to Gretel’s identity. This was especially so because they have never seen Mark Pattinson bring a child to the company. Today was an exception… As such, the company was chaotic. As for Gretel, she looked very proud as if she was a princess. When she walked in with Mark Pattinson, she looked as if she was the daughter of this company’s owner. Despite being a fact, nobody knew about it. Mark Pattinson immediately brought her upstairs to his office. When she entered his office, Gretel could not help but praised Mark Pattinson for his exquisite taste. She liked the interior design of his office! “What do you want to drink?” Mark Pattinson looked at Gretel and asked. “Coffee!” Gretel replied gracefully. Mark Pattinson was speechless. He glanced at her, then pressed the phone on his table and said, “Bring in a drink!” Gretel frowned and looked at him. “I want coffee!” “It doesn’t make sense for a girl to drink any coffee!” “Drinking coffee is a recognition of a lady’s taste!” “You’re only a girl!” “I’ll grow up someday!” Mark Pattinson went speechless. He looked at Gretel helplessly. Then, he opened his mouth and said, “Coffee is not good for the skin!” Speaking of which, Gretel stunned for a while. This was true. “All right. Any drinks will do!” Mark Pattinson was speechless again. Despite Gretel being a spoiled child, she was not a nuisance. Instead, Mark Pattinson found her very interesting. “You’ll wait here for a while. Without even raising his head, Mark Pattinson opened his mouth and said, “For her!” The secretary immediately brought forward to Gretel. Gretel was sitting in a graceful position. “Thank you!” She smiled as she thanked her. Her smile stunned the secretary for a moment. Then, she returned a smile and replied, “You’re welcome!” After that, she walked out, still with a smile. Gretel held the drink and drank it. It was only a normal drink but she indulged in it like it was coffee instead. If Lyla were to see her in this manner, she would surely have rolled her eyes. Her daughter was too pampered! The news soon spread to the Department of Design. Lyla was drinking. When she heard that Mark Pattinson had brought the child to the company, she nearly wanted to spill out her drink again. Of course Lily knew what had happened. She glanced at Lyla and saw her with a helpless expression. “The girl is very polite. When the secretary sent her a drink, she even thanked her with a smile!” “Is that so?” “Yes, and looks cute too.
