"I guess it helps when you've grown up in a rough place." He answered quietly and I had to bite my tongue to stop myself from interrupting. This was the most he had told me and I didn't want him to stop, not if it meant finding out what Adan was talking about. "After my dad died, it was just me and my mom. It was okay at first, but after a couple of months it kind of hit her that he wasn't coming back and she couldn't cope."
