George was lounging on the couch like he owned the place, sipping his tea, messing with his phone, totally at ease—like he'd been waiting for Evelyn to show up.
The second Evelyn sat down across from him, he shot her a sideways glance.
"Mrs. Sullivan," Evelyn called out.
Butler Sullivan appeared promptly. "Miss Evelyn."
Evelyn gave a slight smile. "How's the cleanup coming along?"
Hearing that, George's face immediately darkened.
He knew. She was doing this on purpose—bringing up how she kicked them out of the villa right in front of him.
Butler Sullivan didn't even glance George's way. "Everything's cleared out."
Then, almost like tossing in an extra jab, he added, "Mr. Knight insisted on coming in, said he had something urgent. I couldn't stop him—my mistake, letting some random person walk in like that."
