A month had passed since Isabelle's and Lucas' surgeries. The latter went to the hospital to care for the former until she was discharged. However, Isabelle noticed that Rosalie wasn't with him. She asked, "Why isn't Rosie here?" Lucas' gaze flickered hesitantly. Then, he forced a smile and said, "She's pregnant, after all. It's not convenient for her to keep running around, so I didn't bring her with me." Isabelle didn't suspect anything. She nodded and told Lucas to sit. Then, she said seriously, "You should focus on your life with Rosie. Forget about everything that happened in the past, okay?" He looked at her for a while. Then, he agreed, his gaze shifty. He helped her sit up in bed before slicing an apple and carefully feeding her. Lucas showed up at the hospital every day after that.
