Chapter 820 Do You Think I Will Fall For You?

Tamara’s heart raced. She immediately chirped up, “Got it. I’ll send someone over now!” They finally got the last ingredient. They were so close to getting the antidote! Tamara almost jumped for joy. She didn’t head back to James’ ward. Instead, she waited outside the lab. She didn’t send a lot of men over for fear it would arouse James’ suspicion. Tamara prayed that they would get the herbs back safely. Time ticked on, and an hour had passed since the phone call. It was an hour’s journey from the airport to the hospital, but her men had yet to arrive. Tamara couldn’t help but frown. Another half an hour flew by. A bodyguard suddenly walked over. “Miss Moore, Mr. Gladwell is asking for you.” Tamara groaned, “What does he want now?” The bodyguard shrugged indifferently. “I don’t ask questions, Miss Moore. You should ask him yourself.” Tamara pursed her lips. She shouldn’t act out of the ordinary during these crucial times. She nodded, “Fine. Lead the way.” She checked her watch. It had been an hour and forty minutes, but the herbs were still nowhere to be seen. Tamara couldn’t help but grow worried over it. Tamara arrived at James’ ward. She took in a deep breath before entering. She immediately saw James on his tablet. “You’re just in time, Tamara. Have a look at this. Where should we hold our wedding?” James smiled when he saw her. Tamara’s brows knitted together tightly. “Your body is still recovering. Why are you already planning a wedding?” James gave her a gentle look. “I’m doing fine. Let’s finalize our wedding.” Tamara pursed her lips and walked over. James handed the tablet over to her. “Take your pick.” Tamara took the tablet and skimmed through the list. Her attention landed on an address. “Biarus?” Tamara cocked an eyebrow. James glanced at the picture and grinned, “You like this place?” Tamara looked over at him. “Yes. Let’s hold our wedding here.” “Sure,” nodded James. A deep longing flashed across his eyes. He suddenly noticed Tamara’s puffy eyes. “Have you been crying?” Tamara shrugged, “I went to visit my grandma.” James nodded, offering comforting words. “Seeing your older relatives can bring tears, but don’t fret. Once we’re married, I’ll make sure you never shed another tear again.” Tamara took a seat on the couch and ignored everything James said. She chose Biarus because it was the closest to Nammu Bay, and the antidote would be done by then. Her family would be fine. James must have caught on to her reasoning too, yet he didn’t reject her idea. What was he plotting? No one knew of Sebastian’s fate on the island. Was James that confident in his scheme? Tamara was worried sick. Her face grew colder the more she thought about it. James observed the hardened look on Tamara’s face and smiled faintly. “I’ve already booked the place. The wedding will be held five days later.” Tamara was taken aback. “So soon?” James walked over and sat beside her. “Not soon enough.” He stared at her longingly. “I’ve loved you for a long time, Tamara. I have been dreaming of this day since forever.” Tamara furrowed her brows together. “But I don’t feel loved, James. I could only feel cruelness and malicious intent from you. Don’t you know I will never love you? Even if we get married?” James disagreed, “You’ll grow into it.” “You’ve threatened me with my family and forced me into a marriage. Do you think I will fall for you?” Tamara stared blankly at him. “I will never fall for you. Your cruelness and brutality will only drive me away.”
