Chapter 821 Insane
James continued smiling gently at Tamara. “That’s alright. I’m fine as long as I have you.”
“You’re insane,” sneered Tamara.
James didn’t mind her harsh words. He also didn’t care if Tamara liked him. He just wanted her for himself.
Tamara lowered her gaze and pursed her lips. Her hatred for James was burning brighter by the day.
The atmosphere in the ward tensed.
Tamara kept glancing at her phone, awaiting her men’s news.
James saw her restlessness and suddenly chirped up, “Can you send for the doctor, Tamara?”
Tamara rolled her eyes. “I don’t want to.”
James fell silent.
He sighed, “My men are busy with something else. Please just call the doctor. Is it that difficult of a task?”
Tamara scoffed, “I get a headache from the thought of it. My stomach twists and turns from helping you. All in all, it will be an unpleasant experience for me.”
James felt speechless.
Tamara was like a land mine. One wrong move, and she would go off.
James narrowed his eyes at her. As he stared at her, he felt his anger fading away.
Tamara was beautiful.
She was charming and gentle. When she stared at someone, her eyes would glisten like the stars in the sky. It warmed his heart each time.
When was the last time she stared at him like that?
The image was slowly fading from his memory.
He couldn’t help but crave her gentle gaze again.
“Tamara,” called James gently.
Tamara clicked her tongue at him. “What do you want?”
James was a little hurt. “We used to be close. Even if you don’t love me, can’t you treat me like you used to?”
“Haha…” Tamara sneered mockingly at him. “I didn’t know you were a comedian.”
James gritted his teeth.
“Even I have limits for my patience, Tamara. We will be together for a long time. I won’t be able to turn a blind eye to your insults each time. If my patience runs out one day, I might…” started James.
“Will you let me go? I pray the day would come soon.” Tamara cut him off.
“No. I will kill you,” smiled James. Despite his smile, his words were cruel and harsh.
The casual look on Tamara’s face faded away. She gave him a cold stare. “I will kill you before you can kill me, James.”
James could feel Tamara’s hatred for him. He sucked in a shuddering breath as his smile finally fell from his face. “Very well. I don’t mind sending your family off with you.”
Tamara suddenly sprang up and slapped him across the face. The loud slap echoed through the room.
Tamara’s clear eyes were filled with icy venom. “I hate you, James.”
With that, Tamara turned to leave the room.
James gritted his teeth. A cruel glint flashed across his eyes. He shut them and pulled out his phone to make a call. “How’s the situation over there?”
“Mr. Gladwell, Adrian still hasn’t found Benjamin and Margot. The alliance between the Lane family and the Zimmerman family is falling apart too,” informed the man.
“Kill Sebastian now! Now!” barked James darkly.
The person on the other end of the line was hesitant. “But both families are keeping watch over Sebastian. We can’t possibly…”
“Then make it possible! If he doesn’t die within the next three days, you should take his place instead.” James hung up the call.
