Chapter 838 It’s Him
James looked at the tears streaming down Tamara’s face and let out a bitter smile. “So you finally lowered your pride and begged me…but it was all for him…”
Tamara closed her eyes. “Don’t hurt him, James. There’s no escape. Are you going to keep going down the wrong path?”
James looked at her with pain. “Am I really going down the wrong path? Did I make a mistake?”
Tamara composed herself. “You could have met someone better, but you killed Jessica. What did she do wrong? What did I do wrong?”
“Is it just because I don’t love you?” Tamara shuddered.
James was stunned. Just then, a strong gust of wind came from behind him. Before he could react, someone grabbed him by the neck and pushed him down to the ground!
Tamara was instantly freed.
The next moment, she fell into a pair of warm and strong arms. The arms held her tightly as if they were trying to make them become one.
“Everything is alright now, Tammy,” sounded a deep voice.
Her bound hands were untied, and she was set free.
“Sebastian?” Tamara looked up at Sebastian’s devilishly handsome face. There was a scar on his face.
“You’re hurt?” Tears filled her eyes as she observed him. “Sebastian, what happened? How did you get hurt? Where else are you injured?”
Tamara scanned Sebastian for wounds anxiously. Her heart raced, and she felt like it could burst out of her chest at any moment.
“I’m fine, Tammy. I’m okay,” Sebastian comforted, “It’s just a minor wound. I’m not hurt anywhere else.”
Tamara choked as she looked at him, “Really?”
“Of course, I would never lie to you,” promised Sebastian.
Tamara threw herself into Sebastian’s arms and burst into tears. All this time, she had been suppressing her pain and fear. When she saw Sebastian, she couldn’t stop herself from crying.
Despite Tamara’s tears and snot, Sebastian held her gently and didn’t flinch. His gaze fell on the subdued James.
James had given up on resisting. He seemed to have lost all hope. He had a blank look in his eyes as he was held against the ground.
After a while, Tamara calmed down. She wiped away her tears and turned around. When she saw who was holding down James, she widened her eyes in shock.
“Anthony?!” gasped Tamara.
Anthony looked even colder than before. His face was void of any emotions. But when he heard Tamara’s voice, his façade started to crack.
Anthony couldn’t bring himself to meet Tamara’s gaze. He pursed his lips and said nothing.
Tamara looked at Sebastian, “What’s going on?”
Why was Anthony here?
Sebastian said in a low voice, “He was also at Nammu Bay. When I found him, he was about to be taken into a lab and used as an experimental subject.”
Tamara’s breathing hitched. She thought, “So that’s what happened.”
Sebastian had saved Anthony, and now, Anthony saved her.
Countless emotions swirled within Tamara.
Anthony had betrayed her. She could never forgive him.
“I’m tired, Sebastian,” Tamara muttered softly. Her eyes were red and puffy.
Sebastian carried her. “Let’s get you some rest.”
He kissed her forehead and prayed he could be by her side forever.
Sebastian’s warmth engulfed Tamara. His scent flooded over her, and she greedily breathed him in. She buried her face into his chest.
Sebastian glanced at Anthony. “Take him away.”
“Yes,” came the cold and emotionless voice.
Tamara’s breathing quickened, and her tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably.
