Chapter 839 Escape

Tamara was exhausted. She had been on edge all this time. When Sebastian carried her back to the hotel, she immediately dozed off as soon as her body hit the bed. She didn’t even have the strength to clean herself up and change out of her clothes. However, she vaguely felt that someone was moving her body. Something cold was occasionally placed against her face. Tamara forced her eyes open. She relaxed and fell back asleep when she realized it was Sebastian. It was noon when she woke up. When Tamara awoke again, the sun shone brightly through the curtains. Tamara felt warm all over. She lazily got out of bed and saw a handsome man sitting on the couch. As the sunlight touched the man, it enveloped him in a warm halo, making him appear like a divine angel. He kept his gaze lowered, and his attention focused on his laptop. His features were as perfectly sculpted as ever. With his lips pursed, the man looked to be in deep thought. His fingers danced expertly across his keyboard, taking great care in keeping it silent. He didn’t want to wake her. Tamara continued to stare at the man. She was caught in a trance. It had been a long time since she’d seen Sebastian—47 days, to be exact. “Sebastian,” Tamara called out. Sebastian’s head snapped up, and their eyes met. “I miss you.” Tamara extended her hands out toward him. She gave him a pout. “I want a hug.” Sebastian’s heart melted. He immediately put down his laptop and pulled her into his embrace. “Sebastian,” whined Tamara. “I’m here,” hummed Sebastian. “Sebastian.” Tamara buried her face into his chest. Sebastian hummed again. “Sebastian,” Tamara repeated Sebastian’s name again and again. It was like she was trying to carve his name into her very tongue. “I miss you,” sighed Tamara. Sebastian’s chest rumbled. Tamara looked up and saw him sending her a smirk. There was gentleness within his eyes. Tamara found herself getting lost in them. Tamara suddenly leaned in and kissed Sebastian. She only wanted a taste, but the hand behind her head had other ideas. He pressed Tamara against him. “I miss you so much, Tamara,” groaned Sebastian. He took her lips again. Tamara moaned, “Wait…I…still have my makeup on.” “I had taken them off for you.” Sebastian caught Tamara’s lips between his. “While you were asleep.” Tamara recalled the cold feeling against her face when she slept. It was Sebastian wiping off her makeup. Tamara slumped against Sebastian, giving him complete control over her. They breathed each other in and exchanged words of longing. No words could describe how much they missed each other, but a kiss might change that. After a while, Sebastian relaxed his hold on her. He trailed kisses down to her throat. “Tammy.” Tammy sighed and hummed lightly. Sebastian chuckled, “I didn’t get the antidotes. They appear to have been completely destroyed.” Sebastian sounded apologetic. “I’m sorry.” Tamara shook her head. “It’s okay. We came up with an antidote. My family and our children will be fine.” Sebastian sucked in a breath. “Really?” “Really.” Tamara nodded firmly. “I will never lie to you.” Sebastian smiled. His guilt disappeared without a trace. The two of them enjoyed each other’s company for the entire afternoon. After dinner, Tamara asked, “Where’s James?” Sebastian growled, “We locked him up for now.” Tamara thought for a moment. “I want to speak to him.” Sebastian hummed, “I’ll go with you.” “Okay,” nodded Tamara. The two of them exited the room. They ran into Helena. “Are you two going to meet James? What a coincidence. I have some words for him too.” There was a cruel glint within Helena’s eyes. Tamara nodded, “Let’s head over together.” There was a basement underneath the hotel, and that was where they had locked James up. However, just as they arrived at the place, a bodyguard rushed over nervously. When he saw Sebastian, he paled. “Bad news, Young Mr. Lynch! James has escaped!”
