On the day Amelia left, she had wandered around the train station for a long time. In the end, she had bought a ticket without really knowing where she was going. She had met Xavier on the train. He had been very gentle to the point that she had seen hints of her grandmother in him. Xavier would feel a little troubled whenever she brought this up in the future, saying, "It's the first time anyone has ever seen me as their grandmother." Amelia would simply look at him and smile awkwardly whenever he mentioned this, unable to say anything else. It felt like fate had brought them to meet on the train. Xavier spotted her despite the swarm of people that surrounded them, noticing how hungry she looked because she didn't have any money to afford food. He had then torn off a piece of his own bread and offered it to her. Amelia had ended up in Fordoria. She chose this town because it was similar to the place that she had once lived with her grandmother, so she wouldn't mind settling down
