Matthew only looked at Xavier again after he spoke. After scrutinizing him from head to toe, Matthew decided that he wasn't worth his time. He quickly averted his gaze and said, "This is between Amelia and me, and it has nothing to do with you." Matthew was eager to let everyone know that he shared a close relationship with Amelia, causing him to forget that she had taken Xavier's side from the very beginning. "I'm her boyfriend. Her issues are my issues too. How can you say that this has nothing to do with me when my girlfriend is being harassed out of the blue?" Xavier retorted mockingly. The thing that gave him the most confidence was the fact that Amelia had never kept him in the dark. No secrets existed between them, so there was no chance for a misunderstanding to occur. Xavier would continue to stand by her side while supporting and understanding her.
