Devon moved firmly in front of me, his arm a protective barrier. The muscles in his shoulders were tense, his silver-gray eyes burning with controlled anger.
“Get out. You don’t belong here.”
Catherine took two sharp steps forward in her red heels, the skirt of her dress whispering across the marble floor. She smoothed her golden curls, a mocking smile playing on her lips.
“Leave? I haven’t signed the divorce papers. Under pack law, I’m still the Luna of this house. What right do you have to throw me out?”

He moved closer, his presence so commanding that Catherine instinctively retreated. “I’ve already consulted the royal lawyers. Even without your signature, our marriage dissolves automatically after one month of separation. Staying here won’t change a thing.”
